Did Canadian troops in Afghanistan hand over 18 suspected Taliban detainees to Afghan jailers, knowing they might be tortured? "Commission chair Peter Tinsley felt forced to call a public interest hearing last month because of Ottawa's "refusal to provide the commission with full access to relevant documents and information."  While the Harper government didn't challenge Tinsley more than a year ago when he started to investigate this issue, the Conservatives now seem spooked by his drive to pry out the documents the commission needs to do its job. So now, in Liberal Leader Stéphane Dion's words, "they are shutting down this investigation." New Democrat Leader Jack Layton sees "a cover-up," pure and simple.  In its report on Afghanistan earlier this year, John Manley's panel urged the Harper government to "engage Canadians in a continuous, frank and constructive dialogue" about our activities there. The Conservatives are nowhere close to delivering." "I think the Conservative Party is at war with our institutions," Stephane Dion told reporters. "The NDP's Charlie Angus (Timmins-James Bay) accused the Conservatives of trying to skirt elections rules that ensure no party can "buy an election.""The Conservative Party jigged the rules and when it was caught, it tried to intimidate officials. Elections Canada officials, with the assistance of the RCMP, descended on Conservative party headquarters in Ottawa Tuesday with boxes in hand and removed party documents. The raid was executed according to a search warrant requested by the Election Commissioner.

"Elections commissioner William Corbett launched an investigation last April into allegations that the Conservative party exceeded advertising spending limits by more than $1 million in the 2006 election. Marc Mayrand, over the matter. Mayrand had ruled that at least 67 Conservative candidates could not receive taxpayer-funded rebates for local advertising expenses. Mayrand said that the local candidates were claiming expenses for ads that were not for their own campaign, but were to support the national campaign. The national campaign has different rules and limits.  Mayrand's ruling that local ads were national ads effectively put the Conservatives well over the national limits, their opponents say." "Liberal House leader Ralph Goodale called it "the biggest electoral scandal in Canadian history." Ironically it was the Conservative appointees who enforced next the RCMP raid onto the Conservative Party headquarters, including the head of the RCMP. " Corbett is a lifelong public servant and a former criminal prosecutor for the federal Department of Justice. Both he and Mayrand were appointed to their posts by the Conservatives. Still "the picture of the RCMP visiting Conservative offices yesterday will probably make it difficult for Tories to keep playing that ethics card against the Liberals." Angry Conservative MPs attacked Elections Canada on Wednesday, accusing the non-partisan agency of leaking news of the RCMP raids on the party's national headquarters to the media and to their Liberal opponents". Does any one still seriously not believe that if the situation was reversed the Conservatives would not have leaked the raid to the news media as well?

 Undeniably Stephen Harper term has been a continuous one step forward and two backwards. A very dangerous act in a minority government especially. Mind you that is just a sample of the many, many negative comments, adds about the Conservatives  freely circulated freely by many,  the news media to all the citizens.

The federal New Conservative  Party that had helped to make the rules to keep the citizens tax  payer's money rolling in at election time still very apparently, have unacceptably participated to fudge them. The federal Conservative party was, is not above skullduggery, as the record definitely shows . "Some Conservative candidates who hadn't spent their limits last time -- not all of them, to their credit -- were persuaded to accept money from the national campaign and return it to pay for national election advertising the cost of which exceeded the national limit. The ads were made to pretend that they were directed specifically at voters in the local candidate's constituency, and paid for by him or her. It's clear to me that the candidates who participated in this scheme and then claimed the expense rebate provided by law took money from taxpayers -- Elections Canada says more than $700,000 in total -- under false pretences. " All persons, pressurized or not by the Conservative Party headquarters,  who had wrongfully participated in any of this now clearly are dishonest, immoral persons and they also  should not be allowed to hold any political office anymore too.

Enemies everywhere Ottawa Citizen,  Canada -   Stephen Harper  has been prime minister for more than two years, yet he and his ministers still exude mistrust of many of the foundation stones of the Canadian polity: the public service, the judiciary, and especially the press. If there is any matter worthy of public attention in a democracy, it's an investigation into election spending. The Conservatives should have welcomed the attention. If they are, as they claim, being persecuted, then they have nothing to hide. Delegitimizing the courts, the public service, the media and so many other Canadian institutions may play well to the Conservative base, but it does nothing to strengthen the country.

So in desperation, they the Conservatives need to do something, anything, the Conservatives are going to rely again on their own dirty tricks campaign, lawsuits or new dirty adds, blitz, and very costly ones, even financially.

But in practice that is too too late for the Conservatives, money rather wasted too, for  blood has been spilt, the damage has been done and if you cannot take it  too bad. Canadian sharks smell a loser's blood  and thus they are  swimming in for the  kill again?

THE REALITY IS THAT NO PARTY, LEADER, OR HIS MINISTERS, MPS CAN WIN REELECTION WITH OUT THE SUPPORT OF THE MAJORITY OF THE NEWS EDITORS, REPORTERS, NEWS MEDIA IN CANADA STILL.. which they the Conservative losers clearly now do not have in Quebec or in Ontario

Does Bell Really Have a P2P Bandwidth Problem?

But firstly can we trust anything self serving Bell says, for Bell bas proven itself to be  an immoral firm, a big liar  too..
 
Secondly when the citizens, consumers pay for an internet services, they do not need the extra troublesome hassle, extra time and energy  of looking over the shoulder over Ma Bell's operation, because Bell for sure cannot be trusted to keep their promised obligations.
 
Thirdly the Federal Conservatives now  crying out foul,  asking for public support in their election Canada fight too.. but this will fall on many deaf ears when the Conservatives have wrongfully been indifferent to the citizens rightful complaint about Bell's immoral acts too.

The federal Conservative Minister of Consumer affairs Jim Prentice MP has made it clear today to the news media that  he does not care as to how now Bell abuses their customers, and many citizens are bothered by this on the internet as well.
