Meet The Managers   Hi Folks! I am a 38 year old Calgarian. My move from the Greater Vancouver Area will bring me one step closer to my lifelong dream of becoming an infanteer soldier with the Canadian Army. I have a lifelong interest (in the CF) and my outspoken personality has caused heated discussion with some "ill informed" people regarding our military. As a part of the management team of this community I hope to help educate people about the dedication, professionalism and contributions our men and women in uniform has made worldwide. If I had a choice who to give the Order of Canada to it would give it to Major General Lewis Mckenzie. A true Canadian patriot with the guts to say it "how it is" and get the job done. Since his retirement he continues to be in the media talking about our Candian Forces. GO LEWIS GO! Unfortunatley, under 12 years of Liberal Governments the service been ignored and cash starved for too long. I look forward to the new Conservative government's commitment to help with a new direction for the Canadian Armed Foces. I am a firm believer in having the Department of National Defense Headquarters operate at arms length to our political masters in Ottawa. Nearly all controversies involving the CF in recent memory have been the result of political meddling and NOT decisions made by enlisted personel. Procurement, training and logistics decisions should be left for military people to decide.... Period. Our Canadian Forces are too often taken for granted. Their accomplishments are overlooked. This Canadian has taken notice and appreciates the sacrifice made everyday. My name is Fred. I am the manager of this site. I spent 15 years in the Canadian Forces in various places through out the world . My hobbys are home renovations and wood working .At this present time I live in Woodstock Ont with my wife and two children who have given me 6 beautiful grand children.
