Community Description - Since there is no known cure, once a person has contracted sarcoidosis, it will remain with them for the rest of their lives. Despite that, as many as half of those who have sarcoid will not exhibit any symptoms and are diagnosed accidentally when being examined for other reasons. As many as 80% of individuals with sarcoid will spontaneously remit and never have further symptoms.
