OUR "HELP POSTING" PAGE

When we were a new group in 2002 we had this

page under the message boards

but have since taken it down.

BUT IF YOU CAN USE IT...

FEEL FREE TO COPY AND USE IT ON YOUR WEB SITE

If you are familiar with posting on message boards in MSN groups, just skip this page and enjoy this board..…

But if you're new to the Internet, or new to message boards and are having trouble figuring out what to do, now that you've joined,

here are a few suggestions that are guaranteed to really confuse you...

How to post:

Go to "message boards" on the navigation bar which is on the left hand side of your screen and click on it

There are several message boards here, so a lot of us find it easiest to click on “view all topics” and see what’s new that way.

If you want to post a new discussion, or reply to a particular message, remember you must have joined and you must be signed in to MSN.

For a new discussion, click on the cloud thingy,  {NEW DISCUSSION} or after having read a message you can reply to it by clicking on the "reply" icon [we skip the recommend thing here on this site] if its your post, you also can delete something you wrote and posted earlier, and from then on it will say “message deleted by [your user name]

It will take a moment or two for the message screen to fully load, but once it does you can move your mouse pointer over all the icons and you should get a little box telling you what each icon does. Suggestion.... Go ahead and experiment, if you really goof up, you can hit the delete button on the bottom of the page, or if your message is okay hit the "send message" button and wait for it to go through

If you like using fancy fonts and colors, the easiest way is to type your message using standard fonts and then highlight the whole thing by holding down the left click button on your mouse and moving your curser over the entire message THEN leave it highlighted and click on the icon in the top menu bar:

  Font Style ... to choose the style of lettering or font

Font Size ...to choose the size and

      to pick out a color by left clicking your color choice on

the MSN color chart.

so you can do this,

or you can make it look like this

or maybe you like this

B = bold type

I = italics

U = underlined

A good idea if you're going to write a really long message, is to use your computers notepad to compose the message and then use the "cut"  and "copy text"  and "paste text"  features.

cut = scissors icon [it will remove your text or graphic from the page but save it to your clipboard]

copy = two pieces of paper icon [copies your text or whatever you highlighted to your computer clipboard, but also leaves it intact on your page]

paste = clipboard plus paper over it icon [ to paste the last thing you cut or copied   to your clipboard click your mouse on a blank spot where you want it to be, and then click on this icon, you also can use control + v]

Still confused???? That’s okay…

heres another way of explaining copy and paste that is maybe easier

to understand:

When there is something that you want to copy and paste, you click on it so that your cursor is at the beginning of where you want to start copying.  Then with your LEFT mouse button, click it and HOLD it down and drag the cursor to the end of what you want to copy.  When you get to the end let up on the Left mouse button.  That should give you highlighted words.  At that point, you can click anywhere in the highlighted area with your RIGHT mouse button and a little menu will come up.  It will give you the option of Copy.  Hit copy and then go to the page or sight where you want to paste the material.  When you get there, click your left mouse button to get the cursor located where you wanted your copied material.  Then once again hit the RIGHT mouse button and it will give you the option, Paste.  Hit paste and WAAALAAA you have copied and pasted.

still don't get it?

ok email us...

{WE USED TO HAVE OUR EMAIL ADDRESSES LISTED HERE}

We will try and help you and remember there is no such thing as a stupid question except the one not asked.

Here’s a link that you might find useful, just click on the address:
