Do please keep in mind that this is our Circles' web page to let the members of the physical group (based in Northern California) know when and where the Circle will meet. Circle of the Old Paths is a Wiccan group founded early in 2002. It is considered an American Tradition of Wicca as it takes information and inspiration from many sources. Circle of the Old Path’s foundation is that of basic Wiccan lore and practice, with it’s own unique ritual identity and emphasis on psychic development and spiritual growth. . It includes inspiration from Celtic, Norse, Greco-Roman, and Egyptian belief systems and incorporates philosophy from Native American and Far Eastern systems.
Circle of the Old Paths focuses on quality of training and providing a place for seekers and members of the community to learn about Wicca and experience good ritual and practice their individual spirituality. Circle of the Old Paths follows a strict system of ethics by adoption of the Wiccan Rede, the Law of Return, The 13 principles of a Wiccan Witch and Principles of Wiccan Belief. It’s teaching insists on respect and equality for the individual man, woman or child and encourages education and service to both the Neo-Pagan community and the greater community of which we are all a part. Circle of the Old Paths members honor all those who are of a spiritual life-affirming path and several members are involved in community activities outside the Tradition.
While Circle of the Old Paths is relatively new as a Tradition and is open to many ideas, what we share is a common bond of community, philosophy of religious thought and a similarity of expressing these philosophies through our specific ritual practice. |
