Looking Back
Death is at our doorstep
as soon as a babe we cry,
and so quickly before we know it,
it's time to say good-by.
Memories are our only possessions
as we drift into another time,
and oh how we savor those precious moments
which made living so sublime.
The past events seem like yesterday
and yet - so long ago
At times, it's hard to imagine:
We were one of the actors on the stage
and not a spectator at the show.
