Firth Poetry

Sometimes when the darkness covering minds,
I will imagine the moon, the stars ... and then your eyes
How my poor heart being delighted much,
become warm as a morning sunrise,
blessing my arms in these cold winter nights.

Then your smile follows and give me the wings,
your whisper breathe me out to fly...
Light and enchantment heart must be,
Taught me to hope when I awake after
to beginning my day happier than ever.

I plop in the seat with a very great sigh
My muscles relaxing, my mind in a lull
With one deft touch my computer comes alive
As I go to a place where 'I must' doesn't apply,
It's a curious spot I have to admit
For of all the people there, not a one have I met
Yet I feel as though I know the sound of every voice
I feel sure that they're my pals
And in this I rejoice!
Happily I sift through the words of my friends
Nodding here and smiling there
Suddenly my eyes widen, my gaze moves down as
Speechless with laughter
I fall off my chair....

Dear Mr. Darcy by Nora 1338

Dear Mr. Darcy,
Do you know how I feel,
You are wonderful and amazing,
How I wish you were real.

With the lasting impression,
That you gave on the screen,
You are remembered forever,
I will always be keen.

You simply had to gaze,
To express your emotion,
Through your soulful brown eyes,
You showed passion and devotion.

The way that you admired Lizzie,
I hope that it is true,
That although you are fantasy,
In every man there is a bit of you.

When I think of Pride and Prejudice,
No one else comes to mind,
Except you dear Mr. Darcy,
So genuine and kind.

After The Bar Sinister

Now, reading the book
it is Colin
who fills up the page.
Not Darcy not Mark.
Only he
as his mother says in the interview...
it's Colin, after all,
who enthralls us all
isn't it!

The Look by Sara Teasdale

Strephon kissed me in the spring,
Robin in the fall,
But Colin only looked at me
And never kissed at all

Strephon's kiss was lost in jest
Robin's lost in play,
But the kiss in Colin's eyes
Haunts me night and day.

Colin, my love, your curls and your dimple
have ruined me for others, its really quite simple,
Its you or nothing, my lovely fine stud,
Compared with you, Hugh is a DUD!

Tortured Dream by Nancy E. Anderson

I awake in the middle of the night
and first thoughts are of you
My day is yet to begin
Yours is half way done

I turn and see your gentle smile
Enveloped by it's gentle warmth, I reach out
To touch you
In that instant, you are gone
Tortured Dream?

My Colin by mybridge8

Colin Firth, Colin Firth,
you take away my breath.
Looking at your pretty dawn smile,
I cannot take my eyes off you even for a while.
Although you are a thousand miles away from me,
have a tea with me, can we?
Everytime after I watch your film,
you will appear in my dream.
I love you deeply,
you live in my heart definitely.
Just thinking of you makes me happy,
please be my hubby.
You are always on my mind,
I wish someday you could be mine.

ODE TO A BEARD by colinnut

There once was a bearded man-Colin

Whose devastating looks had me fallin'

Dreams of nuzzling that silver dotted beard

I woke this morning, and what I secretly feared

The folksy, approachable beard was no more

I clutched my heart and sank to the floor

Sobbing and shaking my fists in the air

What's next Colin, all the curls in your hair

I pulled myself up, gathering all of my strength

Stared at my photographic memories at great length

Damn Emma Thompson, you were ever so lucky

To play in his beard, while he was calling you ducky

Yes, I mourn for the man with the gray dappled beard
