Commonwealth Wrestling Championships:
The Championships are being held every 2 years. The first Championship was held in 1985 in Glasgow, Scotland. The 2005 Commonwealth Championships were held in Stellenboch ( Capetown) , South Africa.
The GRECO-ROMAN wrestling style was added to the Championships in 2005 & will be held as part of Commonwealth Wrestling Championships in London, Canada in 2007.

As of February 28th, 2007 - 12 - COMMONWEALTH countries representative wrestling teams have confirmed their participation for - 2007 Commonwealth Wrestling Championships in London, Ontario, CANADA (June 16-17).

"University of Western Ontario" with a sports hall for spectators and has all the necessary facilities for wrestlers, coaches, officials and referees - Preliminaries to be held in THAMES HALL and the Finals ( Gold medal matches) to be held at ALUMNI HALL.
Accommodation - for athletes and officials will be at the ESSEX HALL on the campus of the University of Western Ontario

ESSEX HALL - ( food & accommodation site)

Description
Essex Hall is conveniently located close to all the meetings and wrestling competition site activities. This residence offers clean, comfortable and affordable accommodation in apartment-style units. These are four single bedrooms , two full bathrooms, a common area and kitchenette (complete with microwave oven, stove top and refrigerator) in each unit.
Accommodations are available for the nights of June 12 to June 22, 2007. Check-in is after 3:00 p.m. on your day of arrival and check-out is before 11:00 a.m. on your day of departure. The building is air-conditioned for your comfort.
The building is staffed 24 hours a day at the Front Desk and the guests will be accommodated in fully furnished rooms, complete with bed linen, towels, soap and drinking glass. Daily service is provided to the rooms by University staff. Each unit in Essex Hall will be designated male, female or co-ed.
According to University policy, smoking is not permitted in the residence. There are pay phones and vending machines for snacks and beverages located in the building and coin-operated laundry facilities on each floor.
Residence Meals
The residence has it's own dining room and the Executive Chef offers a wide variety of menu items at each scheduled meal. We are confident you will not leave the dining room hungry! Breakfast is served each day in the dining room of Essex Hall at a predetermined time each day. A wide variety of menu items are offered at each meal.
