Dear Members and Managers,
There are occasions when a shock can be really pleasant, but a shock non-the-less. Twice now I have been a very lucky and grateful recipient of the MotM award. This inaugural MotY however makes me feel both proud and more than a little in awe. So many other members are more able to help those in need, whether it be for software, firmware or hardware.

As many here know, I am not the best in explaining things in words and more often than not, if I can help, I use screen shots rather than instructions. I read in amazement how so many of the managers and members alike are able to pinpoint a problem and write in a straightforward way about the probable solution. There have even been instances lately where members have got other members through quite complicated hardware upgrades.
 
Perhaps on this special occasion for me, I can say a big thank you to all those who have got members out of their troubles.
 
For such time and effort to be freely given and for such long hours, can only be down to the way this wonderful group was and still is managed. Although only a member since July 2003, when the first many months were spent reading and slowly understanding a few things, the evolving of this group has always seemed a strengthening process.
 
Due to a personal matter I will be spending far less time on the PC for some days. So make the most of it, for I will soon be back as before.
 
Thank you all for being such a wonderful bunch of guys.

Since August 2000, every month a member who has really gone above and beyond the call of duty to help another member or has lent advice, or donated a fabulous Trick or Tip has been awarded the title of Member Of The Month.
This year the managers of CF have decided to take this one step further, to at the end of every 12 months award the title of Member Of The Year.


Rules for Member of the Year Contest:

• The Member of the Year must have been awarded the title of Member of the Month during the 12 months preceding January.
• Members are selected according to their helpfulness, attitude, ideas and suggestions, as well as how they treat/welcome newcomers to the community (email help will not count, even if it can be proven).
• Member must not have started or participated in any flame wars during contest and prior 30 days.
• Managers and Assistant Managers of Community Feedback are not eligible.
