Click Candle To Light Your Candle For Peace The message of the peace candle was birthed after the tragic events that occurred on September 11th, 2001.  The original three candles were red, white, and blue in color to show support for our American family, brothers, and sisters in their time of sorrow and need.  However, over time the message of the peace candle came to promote peace worldwide. This led to several new candles being created.  It became clear, that from the ashes of this tragic event, we have been given an opportunity to keep our children innocent of hate, free of fear, and free of greed.  We can teach them that through unconditional love, tolerance, and acceptance, we can create a world in which no more wars are fought. However, to do that, we as adults must learn how to find the peace we hold within us.  That peace will only come when we face our own angers and fears.  We must learn to accept the beliefs of those we hate, we must respect each other as unique, and flawed human beings, we must strive to forgive our anger towards others when they strike out in anger, and understand that retaliation is not the answer.  Violence merely begets more violence.  Peace comes from standing tall, standing proud, and having the courage to say, "I FORGIVE"...
