Cleansing the Cybercovenstead

Out with the old and in with the new, that’s what this rite is all about. Four Winds needs to make a clean break with the past in order to get on with the future. You can do this rite on your own and in your mind, and know that you are contributing to coven energy.

Imagine yourself in the center of a circle. Raise your hands and feel the energy flowing through your fingers. Turn clockwise and allow this energy to construct a circle around you.

I am (your name). I come here before the universe to cleanse the home circle of the Coven of the Four Winds. One of many, I join with my brothers and sisters in stepping forward from the past. I do now leave the past and go into the future. So mote it be.

By the Four Winds, by Earth, Air, Fire, and Water, I make this place anew.

Imagine placing a pile of stones at each of the directional points.

The element of Earth cleanses and protects this circle.

Imagine walking around the circle with a lit stick of incense.

The element of Air cleanses and protects this circle.

Imagine carrying a lit candle around the circle.

The element of Fire cleanses and protects this circle.

Imagine holding a sprig of wet rosemary in your hand and shaking it to spill drops of water around the circle.

The element of Water cleanses and protects this circle.

Return to the center and raise your hands again.

It is done. Let us begin again.
