Easter Eggs

These eggs can be made in thread or yarn for different sizes, variegated for a speckled effect, in stripes or in one solid colour. Then have fun decorating in any way you please!
The eggs in the picture were made from 3 strands of thread and "Thread Painted"

Materials: Scraps of yarn or thread, hook to match yarn/thread used, toy stuffing, tapestry needle.

UK Instructions

Rnd 1: Ch 2, 6 dc in 1^st ch, ss to 2^nd ch, turn. (6 sts)
Rnd 2: Ch 1, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next dc) 3 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (9 sts)
Rnd 3: Ch 1, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc) 3 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (12 sts)
Rnd 4: Ch 1, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 2 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (16 sts)
Rnd 5: Ch 1, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 3 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (20 sts)
Rnd 6: Ch 1, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 4 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (24 sts)
Rnd 7: Ch 1, (2 dc in next dc, dc in next 5 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (28 sts)
Rnds 8-14: Ch 1, dc in each dc, ss to 1^st ch, turn.
Rnd 15: Ch 1, (dc2tog, dc in next 5 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (24 sts)
Rnd 16: Ch 1, (dc2tog, dc in next 4 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (20 sts)
Rnd 17: Ch 1, (dc2tog, dc in next 3 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (16 sts)
Rnd 18: Ch 1, (dc2tog, dc in next 2 dc) 4 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (12 sts)
Stuff firmly with toy stuffing.
Rnd 19: Ch 1, dc2tog 6 times, ss to 1^st ch, turn. (6 sts)
Rnd 20: Ch 1, dc2tog 3 times, fasten off and sew up hole.
