Disadvantage of late November - I was ~10 before I realized not everyone had turkey for their birthday, or birthday cake with Thanksgiving dinner. And my brother and sister were born on St. Patrick's and Flag Day, respectively. They both thought parades were a normal part of having a birthday.

But now I have been adopted by a Cat, "Jamie" will keep me at home. I will be doing more of the home things I like. ;)

Hey, like Emily, I first saw the light of day in Brooklyn, too, but about a year and eight months later and at 4:30 in the A.M. (A Sunday that year) Mom said I kept her up all night and I've been a night-owl all my life.

I almost didn't make it that day. My brother's negativeness almost did in my positiveness. The docs did a new procedure and took out all my blood and gave me new blood. Mama stayed a week in the hospital ; this was the usual post -birth time back then. BUT THE COST! It cost $50 for the birth and the exchange of blood. Mama had to pay it off $5 at a time. I was "bought" on the layaway plan.LOL I am glad the hospital didn't keep me til I was paid off.
