Outline:

      1) If you know nothing about the business and need some basic information pretty quickly.

      2) If you know just a little about the business or where in it for a short time.

      3) If you had an extensive stay in the business.

1) If you know nothing about the business and want to find about it, visit the following 5 links below. The first is the wolfram link.  It is a bit out dated as the structure of the company has changed, nevertheless it is a good foundation.  For an explanation on the history of the Ds-max affiliates, visit the history/divsion/name change page on the left menu or click below. Another great source for information is the article in wikipedia about ds-max.  Check out the ripoffreport for either individual names of affiates or for accounts of people who have had experiences with ds-max, ipg, quantum, innovage, cydcor and others.  Lastly, there is an account of an undercover reporter that takes a job in an affiliate after hearing about complaints from customers and past employees.

2) Now on to people who know a bit about the business and/or may be were in it for just a short time. You can start off by going through the pages on the left hand menu of the site. Select message boards and go through them. Check out the link section. Read members stories. If you are trying to figure out how to get someone to leave, the "get them out" message board is a group of posts with questions and by people in a similar situation along with member responses. Look through the company list and see if the company you are searching for is there (it is neither complete nor up to date). If you have a question about something - ASK!

3) Have you had an extended stay in the business? Do you need help, healing and recovery? Read on.

Time and Education:

The best advice that can be given to people after a run in with the ds-max organization is to educate one self and to allow time to work for them. Take time to find out how ds-max and other multi-level marketing companies and cults work. Read widely. The book Combating Cult Mind Control by Steven Hassan is a great one to read on this subject. The movie Requiem for a Dream is another eye opener. There is a movie list and a book list on the site. Go through the link section and check out sites like mlmsurvivor, the ripoffreport, parentwatch, factnet, the wolfram link, FCC advice and many others. Their are links to organizations that deal with helping people that have been in cults and multi-level marketing companies. Read the stories of other members. Come to see how many get tricked into doing things they never thought they would do. Recognize it is not just you. Question mindsets and beliefs you adopted. Learn how beliefs get instilled.

As one learns how groups control others, one sees how the same things might have been done to ones self. Learn what others do to fight back and move on. Use the tools of the site to inform your self and then also do your own research.

Allow time for reflection. What was your mindset before the business? Think about what your real thoughts are - not just the mindset of the business.

Whether you are finding out information for your self or someone else, realize that noone in one of these organizations automaticly adopts all of the beliefs at once. It is a slow process. Therefore, noone should be automaticly expected to outright reject one set of beliefs in exchange for another all at once. This is also how time and education help. If you feel you need therapy, get it.

"By accepting the way I was deceived, I set myself up to begin deceiving others."
- Steven Hassan, Author of Combatting Cult Mind Control

If you have a topic that you think might benefit future members, why not put it in a message board where others will find it? Member contribution is encouraged!

Good luck to you in your search.
