Beyonce's Guide Through Houston, Texas

Here are the descriptions and photos of Beyonce's favorite places in Houston, Texas. Some Destiny's Child fans are interested in what inviroment Beyonce and Kelly grew up and since most of them (probably) haven't been to Houston, Texas this is a little something to imagine a little easier.

"The St. Regis in the Galleria area is really nice; the sheets are really soft and the beds are so comfortable. The Westin in the Galleria is also nice. There are two of them now. The Galleria is right downstairs, and that's the best place for me in Houston. The Galleria has everything for everbody - It has all of the top designers, an ice-skating rink, and a food court with all kinds of restaurants."

"Right near The Galleria there's the Water Wall, this beautiful waterfall at the Williams Tower, the tallest skyscraper in Houston. It's a nice place to go on a date. The breeze is nice, because Houston is usually warm and you can feel the water blowing against your face. It's just a peaceful, beautiful place to go. I had one of my first dates at the Water Fall. And we did a photo shoot there. The Water Wall reminds me of summer. It reminds me of my childhood. It reminds me of growing up. When I didn't have anything else to do, I'd just go to the Galleria and watch the people. When I see The Galleria and the Water Wall, I know I'm home. When I see big hair and big jewlery, I kow I'm home."

"My mother owns a hair salon called Headliners (above). I grew up performing there every week for the people in the salon, trying to make tips so we could go to Astroworld. We would sing and dance in the salon. It's still there, only now Headliners is one of the best salons in Houston. But it's still like home to me when I'm there, becouse I grew up there."

"The Cheesecake factory (left) has the best menu. I stopped eating red meat, but just recently I had the steak there again after not eating it for 3 years, becouse you just can't resist it. And the cheesecake - they have all kinds. I usually go to Pappasito's for Mexican food. The fajitas are really good. They have the best seasoning. The environment is really cool, too. Lopez also has some of the best Mexican food in Houston, with fast service."

"We ran in Memorial Park (right) every morning before we got our record deal. We would sing while we jogged to try to be in shape. I think it's like a four-mile trail. We would run, and we would hate it because it was so hot and we'd be running and jogging and singing and trying not to stop, but four miles is a long time to run. It makes it easier because there are so many different things you can look at while you're running."

"Kemah (left) is 45 minutes from Houston. It's kind of like a boardwalk, similar to the San Antonio River Walk, with all kinds of little shops and restaurants. Down in Galveston, they have nice beach houses you can rent out in Pirate's Cove. I like to ride the ferry. They have a little boat that travels to Moddy Gardents and back. Moody Gardens has a beautiful rain forest, an IMAX theater, a nice pool, and a man-made beach. On Galveston Beach, I like to rent the bikes and ride on the seawall. Then get dinner at Landry's Seafood."
