In response to Yoga and Pilates classes:
"perfect balance of strength, calm, balance, breathing, positions, etc."
"I just wanted to thank you so much for the class today. You are an incredible teacher and so in tune with the body. Wow - I am feeling things inside that I have never felt before. I won't go into detail, but I want you to know that you had a profound effect on me today. I am looking forward to learning much more from you!"
"It's such a relief to have an instructor who is not only punctual, but is also a fantastic teacher. When I say fantastic I mean the energy she brings is motivating, the technique she exhibits is challenging and stimulating, and she has a genuine care for her students. She takes the time to go around the room and make sure her students are using proper form, she's made sure to implement a consistent schedule (i.e. she's made the commitment to be there 4 days a week to ensure we, her students, are maintaining our discipline and building strength and flexibility) and she's a joy to be around. She always begins our practice with a thought to ponder, an excerpt froma yoga book or a goal to work towards during class." Kelsey Larsen
"I took a Pilates class with Tali. She is in amazing shape. I loved the way she helped each of us take the class at our own capability. She spoke clearly and gave examples, instruction and encouragement to try to push yourself a bit with some of the moves." From SBParent blog
Sentiments on the Mt. Whitney Trip:
"Tali has given all of us a fantastic gift and I would like to accept it graciously. I would have never attempted a hike up Mt. Whitney if it weren't for Tali. She has changed my life. She is a great lady with a huge heart and she will always have my support. A big part of the gift Tali has given us was to bring us together with a common goal. It certainly was a thrill of a lifetime to see the top!
"It was great meeting everyone and I think we all had a wonderful time. Three cheers for Tali and all of the hard work she put into organizing the trip and getting all of us greenhorns into shape. Most of us probably couldn't believe that we would be able to climb Mt. Whitney a few months ago. But we made it or made it further than we thought we could and will have plenty of stories to tell around the watercooler at work about our day on the mountain. I think we can all agree the trip was a lot of fun success."
Feedback from Pilates for Equestrians Workshop:
“How does everyone feel after the Pilates class!?! What a workout! I confess I took an Aleve and a very hot bath Saturday night, and felt pretty good yesterday, in fact, I had a very good ride. Yes, I did feel more flexible in my hips and pelvis! Overall, I had a feeling of even more awareness of what my body was (not?) doing......”
“I am a bit sore, but my chiropractor whom I saw yesterday said I MUST keep doing this! It really helped my alignment with my hips.“
"The class was a great adventure. I found my core, because it kept speaking to me the next day - gently, but firmly saying "keep doing this, you know how good it feels". April 20th sounds great! Also I felt taller and more balanced after the class, a bonus for us petite people. Thank you to for your enthusiasm and for creating this class."
"Loved the class – I am planning to get to Tali’s Monday night class next week and keep working – I felt about three inches taller when I left the class! I will be at the April class for more, too!"
In response to Global Balancing: A Voyage to India event:
"Thank you for such an uplifting and entertaining evening. You, your journey and
Cameron's photos are inspiring."
"just wanted to say what a pleasure
to see you dance at the library.
interesting to learn about your journeys.
you are full of courage and grace."

Outdoor Yoga With Tali Miller and Dewdrop Yoga and Fitness
By Erna Adelson
Any yoga enthusiast in Santa Barbara knows that there is no shortage of gym and studio venues for yoga practice. Anyone who is truly a yoga enthusiast, though, has not experienced the full potential of the art until they take their mat outside of the gym and exercise outdoors. Luckily for those who are ready to expand their abilities, their fitness, and add to their appreciation for yoga, Tali Miller and Dewdrop Yoga and Fitness are now located in Santa Barbara.
Tali has taken outdoor yoga to a truly exhilarating level. Her series of YogaHikes and Yoga at the Beach evoke the yoga experience in its truest form. Participants are, for the day, nomads following a guru in pursuit of enlightenment, possessing nothing but their yoga mats, sunscreen, and bottled water. Even though my understanding of yoga is somewhat limited, I know that every relaxing breath you take is only enhanced by fresh air and celebrated views of the Santa Ynez Mountains.
YogaHikes, which take place at various locations within the nearby mountains, combine cardio and strength training through hiking with a session of yoga at the summit. Tali leads each yoga class, blending her extensive knowledge of yoga, dance, and gymnastics to create a unique program that is suited for all levels of fitness and yoga ability. Each class can be individualized through variations of each position to suit all body types and personal goals, thus achieving Dewdrop's objective of leaving each student stronger, more flexible, more balanced, and relieved of stress. Additionally, each class begins with Ananda Yoga®'s Energization exercises, a system of double breathing while tensing and releasing all the major muscles in the body.
I accompanied Tali and several other fitness aficionados recently on an evening YogaHike to Knapp's Castle organized through FitnessUnity.com. I'm not what one would call a yoga enthusiast-until this hike, my understanding of yoga had been restricted to the inside of a studio as cross training for rowing. Naturally, I was tentative at first-I can hike with confidence, but this was my first real yoga class.
As it turns out, I got more than exercise when I decided to meet the other Dewdrop participants that night. On the way up, Tali recounted tales from her backpacking expeditions around the world, conjuring images of yoga in the jungle, yoga in a youth hostel, or yoga atop the Himalayas, just as our group was about to do (sort of). The other partakers had stories of their own travels and studies, and soon I was comfortable enough to test my strength and balance in front of them. When I opened my eyes after the final relaxation exercise, I knew that this was something I wanted to do again.
Perfect timing, too: Dewdrop's YogaHikes and Yoga at the Beach continue through September. YogaHikes leave from the Bank of America parking lot at 3790 State St., Santa Barbara, every other Sunday at 10 AM, $15/hike. Tali leads yoga classes at Hendry's Beach on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 5:30-7 PM at $12/class. Furthermore, during the full moon, Tali holds a special Moonstruck Yoga class complete with live drums under the full moon, which is free with donations accepted to the American Cancer Society. Contact Tali Miller at Dewdrop Yoga and Fitness for more information. (805) 448-2619, or tali@dewdropyoga.com.
