i just wanted too say hello too everyone, i have been i type one diabetic for over ten years now and i have learned the hard way about being a diabetic im doing a lot better after 73 times in the hospital ,my A1C.went from 12.8 too 6.3 so im feeling alot better these days,my meds are lantus,30.units at night and humalog,and i take six too eight units twice a day,liptor and zantac and levaquin prevacid, quinapril,clonazepam,protonix,know you play you pay,david allen.

I'm prediabetic. My father, his siblings and his father were all type 2 diabetics. I don't know if any of my cousins on my Dad's side havediabetes.

I was Dx'ed almost 2 yrs ago. My dr. called me while my dh and I were going to Las Vegas to celebrate our 36th anniv. So that kind of put a downer on what I was going to enjoy for food while there.
|
Right now I'm testing once a day, at different times of the day and controlling it with diet and exercise. I get my A1c done about every 3-6 months and so far it has stayed below 6.0
