As many of you know, we had many troubles with Buzzen chat. Therefore we have looked around for a new chatroom that may suit more of us and hopefully work better than Buzzen. To this end several chatrooms have been looked at and tried. Chatzy was used more than others in real chats, but left something to be desired. A couple of nights ago. Nikki showed up at chatzy and recommended we try phriekchat. Suz, trek and I chatted there for some time. I looked like MSN or Buzzen chat and functioned pretty much the same. So, we will give it a test drive for a few weeks to see how it runs. If it does well and all can get in, we will make it private and keep it for us to run as we all want it to, without outside people being able to come in and just take over the way Buzzen has made it for our chatroom there.

With that said, I am going to try to give you good information, to sign up with password and to find our chatroom.

To start, you will need a nickname and password to do this you will need to go to Pheikchat home page and sign up. It was very easy for me to do this and hopefully it will be for you also. I am told it even works for firefox and Mac users. The link to get signed up is:

After you sign up, you need to look on the left side of the home page and click on Health and Medicine and chats will come up at which time you will click on Diabetes Living Chat Lounge and if you are lucky .... walla... you will be in our chatroom. If no one is there, post on DL board that you are waiting in the pheikchat room and wait for a few minutes for other to get there. I am sure you will have a fun time.
