 First thing you notice about Ecuador is the bright colors! Well not acually, we flew into Quito, Ecuador about 11:00pm. I was told that Quito was high altiude. I have skied on Mt. Hood thoughout the years with no ill effects. Well let me tell you 9500 ft. is a whole differant experiance. Walking off the plane after a full day of flying is one thing but this was something else! Our driver told us to walk very slowly and reframe from any other vigorous activities, at my age I can't think of anything in a hotel that would be vigorous.

We took the cable car up to 15000 ft. and walked around, this was a feet in it's self. Spending a few days in Quito was fun, but the trip out to the islands was what we were in Ecuador for.
