We created Dogs In The House to have a community that is informative and fun. This is a place for dog lovers to talk and share information about our "best friends."
Before posting or replying to messages on our boards, we ask that you read and follow a few rules…
1. NO PORN OR ADULT MATERIAL! This is a family rated site.
2. NO SPAM! Our boards are not for advertising. We will delete any messages that are posted to promote/advertise a product, business or site. This includes links to personal sites and other groups/communities. If you have a personal site or community that you want to share with other members, please e-mail the managers and we will add it to our MEMBERS SITES page. Note: This rule does not apply to RESCUE LINKS – which are allowed. This rule also does not apply to discussions about where to get certain products, sites with helpful information or links that are requested by a member.
3. NO PROFANITY or name calling - Again, this is a family rated site.
4. FLAMING and flame wars will not be tolerated. You are welcome to debate topics of discussions on our boards as long as you keep it civil. If you have a difference of opinion with another member, you are certainly entitled to voice it. However, if you cannot make your point without personally attacking another member, using foul language, or being rude, it will not matter whether the management agrees with your opinion or not - your post will be deleted.
5. NO TROLLS – people who join just to start trouble. Trolling is not allowed here and Trolls will immediately be banned from this community.
6. NO DOGS FOR SALE HERE! This community is against puppy mills and indiscriminate breeding and many of our members work at rescue – DO NOT COME HERE TO SELL YOUR PUPPIES OR DOGS. If you have a dog that needs a home, please post it on our RESCUE ME board. If you are looking to give a dog a home, please check the RESCUE ME board along with our RESCUE LINKS.
7. DO NOT POST ITEMS FOR SALE OR SOLICIT FOR MONEY on the DITH boards without permission from the managers. This applies to, but is not restricted to, charities, rescues, vet bills, health bills, transportation costs, etc. Please e-mail the managers to request permission prior to this type of message being posted.
8. RESPECT THE PRIVACY OF OTHERS - Do not post personal messages from another member without their permission. This is an invasion of privacy and we will delete any message that does not say you have permission to post it.
9. NO BREED DISCRIMINATION - We are against Breed Specific Legislation - All breeds are welcome here and we do not allow discrimination.
10. POSTING PICTURES - We reserve the right to copy and use any pictures posted by members on the Dogs In The House site. We often make graphics for Dogs In The House using pictures of members dogs. These graphics are not sold, or used outside of the group. If your dog is used in one of these graphics, you may make a copy for your own personal use, but you may not take credit for it, or sell it.
Not a rule, but...
We would
prefer that you post messages directly at the Boards rather than using email to post your replies. Email replies often get posted to the wrong thread and include a lot of redundant and unnecessary e-mail dialogue. Please check your settings for this Group (in the blue margin on the left - Member Tools) and make sure that you've checked the box to receive messages "on the web" - Thank you. 
This site is owned and operated by Jan (janb-mgr) and Janet (CyberInus-mgr) and we have the right to moderate it as we see fit. Any disregard for the Dogs In The House rules will be cause for banning from this community.
