TESTIMONALS FROM HAPPY CUSTOMERS! This is what Mark Cussion had to say about 2002 stallion, Leos Two Eyed Boomer; Boomer went off for training on 1/5/2006 at a local farm called C/V Performance Horses, his trainers name is a lady named Velvet. She has a beautiful farm with a 80 by 120 indoor arena. Twice a month for the next couple months they have team-penning and cowing competitions. Boomer is doing great, everyone at the farm have fallen in love with him. He does fine under saddle, turns, neck-reins, stands, puts his head down when asked, and free-lunges. They took him on his first unassisted trail ride, which he did fine on. Most people are surprised to find out that he is indeed a stallion, since he acts more lake a tame gelding. You should have seen his face when he was first introduced to some cows. Don't think he knew what to think. He will probably be kept there until Spring. Our plans right now are to get his training behind him, then enjoy and ride him for the rest of this year. Get him comfortable and settle his mind on what he suppose to do. In the meantime with our shop, work, adopting, and playing with our horses keeps us pretty busy. I've taken several pictures and am preparing a big update on my site, just haven't had time to work on. Boomer's first baby is due in a couple months! I'll email you a little later. Boomer says Hi! Mark Cusson Imlay City, MI. This is what Josh Biron had to say about his 2004 colt, King Leos Te N Te. "Te" is doing great, I am going back home in 2 weeks to play with him, and see if i can teach him to stand up for showing this summer. I think though that getting him ready won't be that big of a deal, because he already has all the foundational training that he needs. I still think he is one of the best colts out there, and I would not be overestimating his potential by saying that he could go to congress in his first year on the circuit! This is what Connie Tangent of Oregon has to say about her 1999 gelding, "King Leos Royale Image"! We've been really busy with the Eq Team. They are just doing great this year! Royale is the star of the "cow" classes! The team received 2nd in Team Penning out of about 30 teams! That is so awesome! Royale is extremely cowy and very quick. Janae is still learning to steer daub. Royale is like a bullet! Next year they'll be hard to beat! We're working with him for reining and working rancher next year. We just couldn't get him all set for this year. I really didn't want to overwhelm him and push him too fast. Royale is so light and responsive. Our trainer, Doug says he learned in 3 months what takes most of his training horses 6 months to learn. Royale is doing awesome. We sent him to a roping trainer who just thinks he is way cool. They're heeling with him.... (its a husband and wife roping team) He has so much natural cow that it comes pretty easy to him......they're starting to dally now and he's taken some pretty good hits. He just digs in and takes it though. Larry is a real "using" horse person and doesn't get sentimental about the horses at all.....he just wants them to do their job and be easy to have around. He's a pretty blunt person.......doesn't pretty anything up......so when he told us this was an exceptional colt, we felt pretty good!!!! Coming from him, thats strong praise! It was funny, because he said they usually leave Royale in during the day because of the heat but last week he felt sorry for him and turned him loose in the apple orchard.(His wife said she couldn't believe it because NONE of the horses get in there.)Larry said no one else can be trusted.....but Royale just stood in the shade and chilled.Guess thats one of the things that makes him so likeable! He's so easy to handle, catch and SOOOO mellow!!!! Larry said he was surprised how Royale can really dig in and flat fly when he needs to though!!!! He said he's a"fast bugger". Rick is going to start riding him soon plus Janae (our Eq team gal) will do some lessons too. Her plan is to do steer daubing and break away roping with him. Rick still wants to do the Versatility classes with AQHA eventually. Anything to do with cows and Royale will be good at it. Thats why we've decided to go in the "cow" direction.....it would be a shame to waste all this natural talent.....I'll still do some pleasure work with him......if I ever get a chance to ride him!!!!Guess Larry has had several people ask if we'll sell Royale. In fact, there's a doctor in town that ropes and he absolutely thinks Royale is to die for. Said if we ever decide to let him go, to contact him first. NOT A CHANCE!Royale is our "do anything" horse. Can't tell you how much we love Royale and everyone else, too!!!!!! Everyone says what a wonderful temperament he has....for a young horse, he handles a lot of pressure and doesn't get excited!!!! Our farrier is a roper and took him out of the box last week after a cow....and said Royale is QUICK!!!! Take care!!!! Connie This is what Sarah Buck of Louisiana had to say about her 2000 gelding,"KING LEOS LIGHTNING BAR" and her 2001 filly"Leos Two Eyed May". I fall deeper and deeper in love with Lightning every day, Kathy. He is one of the best horses I have EVER known. I was holding his head on my shoulder last night, and he was doing nothing but kissing me. He has such a heart. Such a heart. He will be my premier man ... forever. The two cowpokes went crazy when they saw him.I have two of Leo's *GET*, and I can tell you how "perfect" they are! My filly,"King Leo's Two Eyed May",or May (her barn name), is a real looker. So, she will be outstanding at halter. She's got the most perfectest butt!! Her fluid moves in the pasture assure me of what a good performance horse she will be. Her dexterity at handling both left and right turning is amazing. I am looking forward to team penning and doing some barrels with her. Mostly, though,I would like to pursue reining. Kathy's love for her horses is very evident. Her care exceeds standards, and the way she nurtures and interracts with her charges is abundantly refreshing. Kathy's depth of heart matches the depth of heart her babies have. I have a Leo colt, "King Leo's Lightning Bars", who doesn't know he is still intact. I trust him around, more than ever, with kids who don't know a thing about horses. He loves to socialize and play, and is one who is not possessive or jealous. Both horses have coats which shine, their eyes are bright, and, in general, they are happy and very healthy horses. You cannot go wrong with these horses."The people that own "Leo's" *GET* are just amazed by their sweet, willing, intelligent, great dispositions they have! They are very level headed, and trainable, athletic, agile, with "cat like" movement."I have had three cowboys come to the barn in the past month and ALL have remarked about disposition and confirmation of Lightning. One is going to help me train Ligtning. This horse is awesome, Kathy. I am starting him this summer on cows.By my own volition, I am sending this mail to you to let you know about Kathy Tyler and the horses she handles, breeds, and sells. I speak from experience as I own two, a full brother and sister. These horses are extremely smart, have hearts as big as Texas, and are very appealing to the eyes. I have received many comments about them, and people have stopped on the highway just to look at the way they move. Kathy herself is a woman with much fortitude. Her horses reflect her handling and care in their overall health and stamina. Her business practice is just as forthright and, personally, had I more room, I would have bought several more of her horses. You cannot go wrong with this gal and her horses. She loves what she does, she's darn good at it, and she is persistent as well.
If you need anything, you may contact me here at this email, or you may call me at (985)795-9493.
Thank you.
Sarah Buck This is what Terri Petterson had to say about 2003 gelding, King Leos Ranch Hand aka. "Rope"; Dear Kathy, You have got to come see "Rope"! He is soooo awesome! He learns so fast and is so willing! I love him to death! If people don't buy these Leo babies, it's their loss! These LEO babies are absolutely the best I've ever handled! The prices that you've got on your fillies, and your yearling stallion are rediculously low! People need to be jumping on this chance to pick up a great horse! Thank-you for the chance to own such a great horse like King Leos Ranch Hand (Rope)! - Terri from Terri Petterson Cadillac, MI. 231-779-2105
