• Deer frequent the property daily (really!).  For best viewing, rise early and watch them from the front porch, front bedroom or kitchen windows.  In cooler months you'll marvel at the wildlife views seen on the farm across our river.   
• Wild turkey, hawks, eagles, heron and a host of other wildlife are seen on and from the property.  You will be immersed in the core of nature’s beauty.  No hunting is permitted on/from the property.  Fishing is permitted.
• Fall/Winter View:  Incredible 200-acre pastoral views across the river of a huge farm (including cows!), against a backdrop of the fabulous Cohutta Wilderness.  In Spring it's really fun to watch the calves play.  
• We are only 1.5 miles from the major four-lane, so the property is easily accessible, yet you are privately secluded in the heart of the woods next to the rushing river.
• The location is also ideal because the lovely town of Ellijay is about 5 miles to the south and Blue Ridge is about 5 miles to the north;  making both towns easily accessible.
• Recreational opportunities abound, including:  trout fishing, hiking, mountain biking, kayaking and canoeing, white water rafting,  horseback riding, bowling, cinemas in Ellijay and Blue Ridge (Ellijay cinema has comfortable “rocking” seats;  Blue Ridge has a regular cinema and a Drive-In),  wonderful antique shops and stores in both towns, scenic drives etc. etc.  This area is also a major apple producer and there are many orchards (Mercier in Blue Ridge is our favorite).  There are plenty of restaurants and convenient grocery shopping as well (Ingles and Walmart are just a few miles).  Of course, you may love the cabin so much, that you never leave!
