ARFORGEN, GPR & FOTA UPDATES

ARFORGEN (ARMY TRANSFORMATION), GPR (GLOBAL POSTURE REVIEW), & FOTA (FUTURE OF THE ALLIANCE) PLANS  Not to be confused, it's THREE different plans altogether***(see note and further definations at the bottom of the page)

THE CAB (COMBAT AVIATION BRIGADE)  ACTIVATION IS COMPLETE, HOWEVER THE TRANSFORMATION ITSELF STILL HAS A LONG WAY TO GO. I WILL UPDATE THE SITE PERIODICALLY, HOWEVER FOR THE LATEST AND GREATEST, SEE THE LINK BELOW.

The 2ND CAB is owned and operated by the Second To None, Second Infantry Division. The 17th Avn. Brigade, 6th Calvary Brigade and 52nd Medical Bn. all inactivated, all aviation units in Korea were were transferred to the 2ID.

Interesting unofficial site, with lots of Information about the relocation, A MUST READ:

THE PACOM SHUFFLE - PACIFIC FORCES TO SEE SWEEPING CHANGES:

http://theseoultimes.com/ST/?url=/ST/db/read.php?idx=249

The GLOBAL POSTURE REVIEW involves restructuring and realigning the Bases and Forces of ALL Military Services world wide. The 70,000 troop withdrawal from europe and asia you may have read about is part of this plan. There are many stories on this involving the Air Force and the Navy all over the net as well. Each Theater of Operations will have it's own plan. .

The FOTA plan, is a separate plan, being discussed with the Korean Government about the numbers of troops and equiptment that will remain to support the mission here in Korea. It's likely that they will all happen simutainously, but it's three different plans that don't necessarly require each other. Read here:
