El Club de Kat
for disabled and chronically ill animals (and their friends...)
Thank You For Visiting El Club de Kat!
El Club de Kat (Kat's Club) is a community created to provide support for disabled and chronically ill animals and their owners in Spain. One of our priority aims is to promote adoptions of disabled and chronically ill pets who are waiting in Spanish shelters and pounds, sometimes in terrible conditions. These animals have a particularly tough time in Spain as few people are willing to adopt what they see as a "problem", yet many can lead a normal life and just need a loving home, but sometimes we have to go abroad to find it.
If you would like to see photos and descriptions of some of the animals available for adoption, please look in the following photo albums, I will try and keep them as up to date as possible, but please understand that the information is collected from all around Spain and I do not always receive news if an animal has been adopted or put to sleep until some time after the event. If you are unable to adopt one of these animals, please pass on the link to others who may be able to offer them a home...
Albums of Special Needs Animals seeking a home
Kat is a disabled cat (she was a 3 month old stray found next to the motorway after being hit by a car). She shares a home with 4 non-disabled cats and 2 dogs, and we are currently fostering Bombón, a female dog who is another road accident victim and suffering from paralysis in her back legs (you can see her in the adoptions albums).
If you have any questions or can offer help of any kind, please post on the "General" message board or write to me (in your own language, I will get it translated) at debbies@retemail.es
If you have a disabled or chronically ill pet yourself, please add a picture to the "amigos internacionales" gallery or write a message telling us about your pet in the "General" message board. I will translate messages written in English for the members who only speak Spanish.
Thanks for your help and support
