Marian helps mainly with Irish and English searches

On the page "Irish Poetry" you will find a few poems written by  my great great great grandfather, poet and author William Ledger.  I had known about William for a long time, but it was only last year that I was delighted to discover that his poetry was to be found amongst rare collections in the Limerick libraries, and also in Trinity College Dublin.

William was a graduate of Trinity,  and he lived in Limerick with his wife Sarah Finucane who was a piano teacher.  They moved to London around 1839.  William and Sarah had at least two sons and seven daughters, possibly more, and one of their daughters, Sarah was my great great grandmother.  I hope you will enjoy reading William's poems.
