Liv is the Daughter of Aerosmith singer, Steven Tyler, and former model (and playboy playmate of the month)  and stalwart of the bakstage rock scene of the 1970's, Bebe Buell. Liv grew up believing thather father was the rock star Todd Rundgren. By the time Liv was twelve she had taken on her biological father's name, Tyler, as she had noticed Tylers daughter Mia was similar in appearances to be her twin. Liv confronted her mother and was told the truth. Liv began her modeling career at the age of 14, when she and her mother moved to New York. After a year as a model, Liv gave up the life to tackle Acting. Her career took off, She was offered the role of Callie in the movie "Heavy" (1995) and 3 weeks later gained a role in "Silent Fall" (1994) the director for both films was James Mangold, who decided to delay shooting of "Heavy" until Liv was available. Liv starred in 7 films between 1993-96, and her actinc career sky rocketed, she was then cast in the role of female heroine, Arwen, of Peter Jackson's trilogy, The Lord of the Rings.
