Dear Friends, EC Patients, EC Survivors,  Past and Present Caregivers

Welcome to the Esophageal Cancer Chat and Support Group.  We are fortunate that our group is composed of many wonderful people that are caregivers, successful EC patients and EC patients that are currently under treatment.  The purpose of a support group is the sharing of experience, a place to chat, sharing of research information and hopefully one day we can play a role in a program to develop Esophageal Cancer Awareness. I am sure that none of us have ever heard of Esophageal Cancer prior to dealing with this Beast.  Hopefully we can help educate the public and those in the medical field that are not aware of this ugly beast.  Please note, that in no manner is our experiences intended to replace expert medical advice.

For those that do not know me, I am caregiver for my mother Cirl and although my mom heard the magic words of NED I have chosen to remain active in an Esophageal Cancer support group so that I can return the kindness that I have received from other caregivers and other EC Patients.  The advice and support that I received helped saved my mothers life.  I am forever grateful for those that have helped and I hope to do the same for someone one day. Together we will make a difference.

Thank you,
