To be able to chat, you must be signed on as a member:
Click on the button to enter the chat room 
In London it's now:

We chat on wednesdays at 08.00 pm London time.
Instructions:
- Sign in to our community
- Hit the big red button
- Scroll down to see the whole screen
- Fill in a nickname (no password) (must be unique, if not try another)
- Enter
- Always leave the applet window open. Closing it will boot you out of the chat
- Once logged on to the chatroom you can scroll down or hit the float button to center the chat screen.
