FASD: its not all bad!!!
We all know there are lots of charateristics of FASD. various difficulties, learning problems, behavioural stuff... blah blah blah lol! ...but it's not all bad!!  Important note!- the following are more postive charactaristics associated with FASD. I have Fetal Alcohol Syndrome.. yet I couldnt claim to have all these qualities! Other wise I guess this would just be a list of me bragging about how fab I am. and Im not like!! no, this is for you lovely people, not me ego tripping.. I promise! Sarah xxx Anyways here goes!... Sticking to morals - I think people who dont have FASD have very complicated rules.. do this then, except here do this and if this happens do this or this... its very confusing isnt it somtimes! So, it seems people with FASD tend to have rules more like this; some things = good, some things = bad. And thats called morals, and ours are very rigid innit. Which has gotta be good! Affectionate and cuddly - well I guess its been said... we can be over affectionate! but to look at it another way if anyone needs a cuddle they can always come to us! I know its true of me.. Ill hug any one for any reason LOL! Hugging is a good thing.. its an expression of love innit  Concerned, sensitive - Some of us were probably a bit behind at school , heck, I know I was.. failed all my exams!!! But we have got a different kind of intelligence an thats got value too!! Good long term memory- ok no-one is saying FASD people have great short term memories.. but our long term ones are at least, thats at least 'normal'. Amaze family and friends by remembering obscure details from your past! I swear, its a good laugh! Determined and keep trying! - because it is harder for us to do some things isnt it  so i suppose we 'fail' more often.. so we learn to deal with failure and keep trying! determination that is! and thats good! Caring to people and animals- ha ha I swear down its in our nature.. so we are caring towards kids and animals.. and nice to partners .. so maybes we could get all the sexy ladies!! (and men if thats ur thing) te he he Good imagination- take a look at out brains, you see; the imagination part is big and active  and thats the truth I tell ya! Creative- see above.. good imaginations.. plus the evidence that lots of FASD people enjoy art, dancing and music.. and are bleedin class at it too!! Lively and full of energy- LOL what more can I say.. I dont think our families and carers would disagree on that one!! Friendly and talkative- we all have to remember talking to strangers can be dangerous. But wanting the chat to people is not a bad thing! people like it when people chat to them dont they, I do! so takin an interest in people and entertaining people are some good things! Funny!- well, as it says above.. I guess we can be a bit uninhibited.. but that can lead to a great sense of humour though.. I bet some of u lot have a great sense of fun and laffs! Sense of wonder- some might call it confusion, me, I swear down its wonderment at the world he he
