Don't forget that animal abuse takes many forms and may not be apparent just by appearance. One of the most deadliest forms of abuse is neglect. If you think something is wrong with your pet, please take him or her to the vet for a check up. Nothing is more cruel than for your "best friend" to be suffering at your own hands. Something as simple as an infection, if not cared for, can lead to death. Remember that animals suffer from the same ailments we do. You go to the doctor, so why shouldn't we take them? Don't deny them of their basic needs. Pet ownership is a lifetime responsibility, your responsibility. If you suspect neglect, report it. Don't hesitate as every single minute could be the difference between life and death.
Please keep in mind that we can not picture every pet available for adoption on our websites. There are too many homeless pets being brought in daily to update every one, regardless of how much we would like to do so. With this in mind, remember there are MANY MORE dogs & cats, kittens & puppies not listed and available for adoption. We wish you all a happy adoption!
