Welcome to all new members of Fight for a Future.
Our goal is to raise money and support projects working to find a treament to stop/slow the progression of Duchenne/Becker Muscular Dystrophy, for THIS GENERATION OF CHILDREN.
Advertising NOT related to DMD will be banned.
Fight for a Future (FFF) represents parents, grandparents, family and friends of DMD/BMD.
There are many research projects going on over the whole World. Most of the projects will need several years before they can help our children. Because nobody, not even the scientists, know how long this will take we will support any project working to find a drug to stop/slow the progression of DMD - TODAY.
WE WILL NOT ALLOW THAT OUR CHILDREN HAVE TO WAIT FOR YEARS, WHILE THEIR BODY IS GETTING WEAKER AND WEAKER. WE DON’T HAVE TIME TO WAIT FOR "THE CURE".
Treatments do exist, and that's GREAT. Our children are getting older and older. By physical therapy, nutriton, respiratory, cardiac and orthopedic care. These are all good and needed treaments.
When our team are talking about treatment - we are talking about a drug to stop/slow the progression of this diseases - today. If you want to participate in our discussions - or just want to watch - its up to you. ALL members are welcome.
We are happy to get ideas - how to reach our goal

Do we patently wait and say: "take your time." No, we don't. Some of you will perhaps say that this is not the same. Ok, agree. It's not the same. Our children are more important to us than a car, a television, a dishwasher."

Tid For Livet (Time for Life) is working to raise money and support projects with the goal to help THIS generation of children. Projects working to find a drug to stop/slow progression of DMD/BMD. 
The Brazilian Association of Friends of DMD (AADM) Ribeirão Preto, São Paulo State, Brazil. Working together with the Muscular Dystrophy Research Center (CPDM). The center was built by AADM and is already working on investigating drugs that have been approved by the FDA for other diseases.
