Wire Sculpting is an old art form dating back to Europe.

It has been revised and refined and today is one of the most elegant styles or handcrafted jewelry.

I have added a few pictures of some pieces I have wrapped.  Many artists feel that this technique should be used on fine gems and in light weight pieces.  I happen to like the heavier wires and heavy stones.  That is the nice thing about art - it's yours and you can do as you like.

I wrapped this pearl pendant sevral years ago.  Since then, I have been asked several times to wrap stick pearls.  They lend their elegance to the gold-filled wire and make a very handsome piece to wear.
This piece is made from "Native Copper".  I purchased the stone from a gentleman who had mined this stone in the hills of Eastern Nevada.  If you were able look closly, you would see a small flek of copper in the upper left area of the stone.  This really stands out in person and attracts the eye.

Cameos are always a favorite to wire sculpt.  They are elegant in themselves and inspire the wrapper to create a lasting treasure and keepsake.
