Origin: Coastal areas and forrests of Africa
Max Size: 6 inches.
Temperament: Peaceful, except when breeding.
Sociability: Only keep in large tanks with robust species, or keep just a pair on there own.
Environment: Unfussy but avoid extremes of pH and hardness.
Climate: Tropical. 70F to 77F.
Diet: Live food, and flake.
Breeding: Only compatable pairs will breed, and it can take a long time for a pair to bond. It is not uncommon for one pottential partner to be killed during the bonding stage.
Sexual Characteristics: The spot below the dorsal fin is less intense on the female.
Availability: Available sporadically.
Further Information: Very intensely coloured, but not really a community fish.
