Max Size: 8 inches in the aquarium.
Temperament: Peaceful but not with other similar fish.
Sociability: Ok in the large community but similar fish may be attacked.
Environment: pH 8.1 to 8.4, SG 1.021 to 1.024, Excellent water quality is mandatory with this species.
Climate: Tropical, 77f to 79f.
Diet: More omnivorous than the rest of the family. Varied diet works best.
Breeding: Not in the aquarium.
Sexual Characteristics: The female is larger.
Availability: Not all that common, but sought after.
Further Information: Needs plenty of room, a little more demanding regarding water quality than the rest of this group. One for the more advanced hobbyist.
