News: Shann Palmer I've been invited to read at the Art After Hours series at the VMFA in January 2009 (thursday nights) Looks like January 15th is my night- y'all come!  "At the Museum, Molly" has been grabbed up by The Bedside Guide to the No Tell Motel- The second floor  Order yours NOW "Who Will Love the Bionic Woman?" and "To Lie in Wait" appears in Skipping Stones 2007, an annual of Virginia poets  "Bread n' Butter Pickles" in Moondance This poem appeared originally in the now defunct zine Conspire (almost ten years ago) First prize for my poem "Coranach" in the Alabama Writers Conclave contest. $100 award! Honorable Mention in the Bat Creek Poetry festival contest for my poem "The Necessaries" "Performance Art" won First Place in the "Gulf Coast Ethnic and Heritage Jazz Festival" contest out of Mobile, Alabama today! They sent a big fat $100 check The Hiss Quarterly  "Dreaming Freddie Mercury"   two poems placed in the PSV 2006 contest!! 2nd place "Angels in the Architecture" Honorable mention "Sabino Canyon"   First Place in the Oliver Browning Poetry Contest at Poesia Quarterly! $500 -  for "Clear Lake"
