Ah Si brings Shan Cai to the balcony She feels stupid for having thought that he wanted to take advantage of her. Ah Si looks at the telescope for a long time before finally finding what he wanted to show her. Apparently, he had brought her up to the balcony to let her watch the meteor rain. At this moment, he also gives her a necklace, with a pendant that is supposed to represent the shooting stars. She does not want to accept such an expensive gift from him but he insists and puts it on for her. To him, you should not need a reason to give a present to the one you love. The two of them shares a passionate kiss. Ah Si asks Shan Cai to go out with him officially. She hesitates and asks if he will still go out with her if she loves him much less than he loves her. She feels that there is a need to clarify matters before starting anything. She has no confidence that she will be able to love him as much as he loves her. He agrees and promises to make her love him more as their relationship progresses. If, however, she does not love him more as time passes, he will not force her and will let her go. He decides that they will try out the relationship for 2 months and asks her to give him an answer the next morning. 

The next morning, Shan Cai tells Ah Si that she is willing to go ahead with the plan and will date him for 2 months. When she leaves his room, Ah Si starts dancing happily. 

Qing He complains to Xiao You about Ah Si and Shan Cai’s deal. Ah Si had warned him to stay away from Shan Cai. Xiao You thinks that it is weird that a relationship should have an “expiry date” placed on it. Qing He is upset and thinks that they are not suited for each other at all. He asks Xiao You to help him break Shan Cai and Ah Si apart but she disagrees and feels that they should support Shan Cai in whatever she does. She calls Shan Cai and asks Shan Cai and Ah Si out on a double date with her and her boyfriend.  

At the mansion, Mei Zuo and Xi Men tells Ah Si that Shan Cai is nervous and uncertain about their relationship. They feel that it is rather obvious from the way she acts and speaks around Ah Si. They warn him to buck up or she will definitely leave him at the end of 2 months. 

Shan Cai asks Ah Si to go out on the double date with Xiao You and boyfriend. Although Mei Zuo and Xi Men are skeptical about it, they feel that Ah Si should be happy that Shan Cai took the initiative. Shan Cai tells Ah Si that this is how poor people date and hope that he is willing to get used to her habits and way of life at times. Ah Si blows up and refuses to go on the date. He does not see the need to accommodate Shan Cai. She is upset that he is so stubborn.

On Sunday, Xiao You and her boyfriend, Zhong Ze, meets Shan Cai at the amusement park entrance. Shan Cai is surprised when she sees Zhong Ze as she does not think that he is Xiao You’s type. She tells Xiao You that Ah Si is busy and unable to make it and decides to leave the couple alone. However, the couple wants her to join them. At that moment, Ah Si appears. Shan Cai is happy that he is making the effort. After the introductions, the 2 couples decide to eat their lunch first. Shan Cai asks Ah Si why he decided to come. Ah Si brushes her off and simply tells her not to do it again. 

Zhong Ze suggests to them to eat Taiwan sausages. Ah Si comments that he has never eaten it before. Zhong Ze is shocked and laughs at him for being such a spoilt brat. Ah Si is offended. While eating, Zhong Ze laughs at Ah Si even more when he hears that Ah Si does not like to perspire. Ah Si is furious. Shan Cai tries to change the subject and decides to move on without finishing the food. Knowing that Ah Si cannot get along with Zhong Ze, Shan Cai suggests playing at the amusement park separately. 

When Xiao You and Zhong Ze leave, Ah Si starts yelling at Shan Cai. He would have beaten Zhong Ze up if he had been any other guy. Shan Cai asks if he wanted to leave early and keeps apologizing. She had thought that Xiao You’s boyfriend would have been rather easy to get along with. However, Ah Si tells her that he will stay, keep his cool and will not put to heart what Zhong Ze says. 

At the end of the day, the 2 couples meet back together. Zhong Ze offers to buy drinks for them, claiming that Ah Si would only have credit cards and big notes and thus will not have the small change to buy the drinks. Ah Si is furious but keeps his cool for Shan Cai’s sake. He excuses himself to go to the toilet.  

While the guys are gone, Xiao You apologizes to Shan Cai for Zhong Ze’s behaviour. She tells Shan Cai that Zhong Ze does not behave like that normally and comments that the atmosphere is extremely awkward. Although she accepts Xiao You’s apology, Shan Cai secretly feels that Zhong Ze is not suited for Xiao You at all. After that, the two girls decide to go to the toilet together. 

Meanwhile, while buying drinks, Zhong Ze sees some girls he know and reveals his true, flirtatious personality. He behaves intimately with the girls and Ah Si sees him. Knowing that he cannot hide the truth from Ah Si, Zhong Ze offers to introduce the girls to him. He also tells Ah Si that since he is so good looking, he would definitely be able to hook up with those girls without difficulty. Zhong Ze also says that he will not give up the other girls just for a girl like Xiao You. He comments that Ah Si will get bored of Shan Cai one day. Disgusted, Ah Si punches Zhong Ze. Xiao You and Shan Cai sees them and rushes to them. Shan Cai yells at him for punching Ah Si. Ah Si tells her that he cannot control himself any further. If this is what Shan Cai meant by “poor people’s date”, Ah Si swears that he will rather die then go on such a date again. He also tells Xiao You to get a better guy and storms off. Zhong Ze pretends to be the victim in this and explains that all he did was put his hand on Ah Si’s shoulder and was punched for nothing. He screams at Ah Si. When Shan Cai tries to apologize, he scolds her too. Zhong Ze turns away and walks off. Shan Cai feels bad and keeps apologizing to Xiao You. 

That night, Xiao You is unable to contact Zhong Ze. She keeps calling his hand phone but he switched it off.

Back at the mansion, Shan Cai demands that Ah Si apologizes to Zhong Ze. He refuses and Shan Cai is furious. Although she dislikes Zhong Ze, and actually felt a bit happy when she saw him punch Zhong Ze, she still knows that Ah Si is in the wrong for punching someone. Ah Si declines to tell Shan Cai why he punched Zhong Ze but is happy to know that Xiao You and Zhong Ze had broken up because of the incident. He claims that this is better for Zhong Ze. Shan Cai is furious and stomps off.

The next day, Xiao You and Shan Cai meet up and the former tells Shan Cai that Zhong Ze did not turn up in school and did not return her calls. Xiao You explains that if Zhong Ze and her are to break up over such a small matter, then perhaps the relationship is not worth it at all. She is sure that Ah Si is a good person, especially since he turned up for the double date despite the fact that he was “busy”. Shan Cai feels that if Ah Si didn’t turn up and caused all the trouble, Zhong Ze and Xiao You would still be all right. 

After the talk, Xiao You has to go back to the cake shop while Shan Cai has to return to the mansion to do housework. As they are walking, they see Zhong Ze walking towards them with his arms around another girl, behaving intimately. The girl asks Zhong Ze about Xiao You. Zhong Ze tells her that he is tired of Xiao You and that going out with Xiao You was extremely unexciting and boring. Xiao You and Shan Cai hears what he said.
