I think Cities should be PROactive as to what cleaning products are used in their facilities ... schools especially (For sake of those who clean ... those who enter the buildings)

Firefighters who use the 'foam' have the compounded 2(2-butoxyethanol) exposure possibility at 10% concentration in the 3M Foam product. I got a copy of the MSDS from our City's fire dept yesterday. That is the same strong chemical and the same strength for Scrubbing Bubbles. But for homemakers, there is no such warning as ... "wear full respirator with oxygen and full face mask." We had a buyer for one of our mobile homes who chose 'Scrubbing Bubbles' for house-cleaning ... also a renter a couple of years ago ... to which I said, "Please, Please, Please do not use this product. It can even cause reproductive harm and health damage to the child ... or NO children at all, plus symptoms like the CFIDS assortment"

Polar cap should melt within 6 years ... by 2013 per newscast last night. That means loss of the polar Bears and ocean levels rising. We are in a bad state of affairs. With the epidemic of diabetes and Autism in China ... suspect their overuse of this same chemical. Look at what is happening to the Polar Bear: death of offspring, low birth weight ... suspect this same chemical. TWO LONGSHORMEN, worked 1989 Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup:
Steve C was a longshoreman in 1989. With their union they got the job of unloading equipment from the docks. Steve told me that he would get a 'whiff' of the chemical in the containers containing the 'Inipol' every time the 'doors were opened on a shipment; (and those vapors in eyes would be an exposure). Later he came down with colon cancer. His wife came down with breast cancer (Would it have happened anyway? Did she have 'second hand solvent exposure?) Do they recall the 'flu type symptoms' at that time, and subsequently the CFIDS symptoms? Do they have the fatigue?
Marc G was supervisor of a longshoreman's crew. He told me of a time when they offloaded an 'environmental' ship that came to Valdez from helping with the cleanup. No one was around but him and his crew. They got this sticky, honey consistency all over them. He had the crew go to the hospital/clinic. They had blood in urine. Since he has come down with diabetes and joint pain. He has struggled with ill health and doctor bills. He is near homeless, with current notices to pay or move. Clinic says he can't talk about more than one thing. Headaches? Get another appt & come back and talk about it. He has had toes cut off; operations on knees. He is certain that his health decline started from this time & on.
He told me last week that his doctor said, "Lots of people have blood in urine & it could have lots of causes" [& this from a doctor who has been in Valdez since before 1989 & knows they were looking for blood in urine (Black Urine?) of workers in those days]. No wonder we can't get help in 'medically connecting the dots' ... in finding the common denominator: the fatigue doctors are not finding in CFIDS.
