Dale, a boom crew worker on the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup, 1989:

Dale, you may find this of interest ....

Some things I didn't know ... & some I did

Why Exxon used a bad product
www.valdezlink.com/evos/whybadproduct.htm

& How you would feel, if harmed by 2-butoxyethanol *

The kind of dispersants used in 1989, 1990 in Prince Wm Sound
were very harmful.

RCAC has recently taken a position against using such dispersants.

I hope that the US Coast Guard & EPA will take note.

Nor use any 2-butoxyethanol products in ballast water treatment, either.

Your friend, Michael, didn't call yesterday.  But he did today.
I think the whole problem is an autoimmune issue:
fatigue ... autoimmune hemolytic anemia
Have them LOOK at the red blood cells

Body temp is part of the irregularities for some ... fever or sub-normal temps

Hormonal levels are many times OFF, either high or low
(Immune system attacking glands/organs) Not just a lupus issue

I heard Richard Nagel comment that a transfusion of whole blood was a great help to him I hope his testimony is taken www.valdezlink.com/evos/rdn.htm

This Valdez grandma had a bad experience on the FOSS barge

... while you are getting your body regulated with good nutrition and glyconutrient food supplements

I've also heard of a hematologist/or oncologist who has a dozen or so of these type of patients ... even one with a more serious onset after jogging end of day in Iraq (civilian contractor employee from Valdez

You should have many of these signs:

I know a couple of parents who have sons with this kind of harm,
but they don't pass on this info ... denial even for parents

For those with CFIDS, FM, CFS - look at the same information a little differently ... and LOOK at the red blood cells. Check for autoimmune hemolytic anemia if the Chronic Fatigue Immune Dysfunction Syndrome symptoms are there. Suspect 2-butoxyethanol exposure as the cause ... stop exposure & red blood cells may return to normal.

Check into glyconutrients for help

PS

For early responders - or those who suspect oil health damage - you need to be checked for aplastic anemia in which benzene causes immune system to prevent producing the needed red, white & platelet cells. example

For those there in July & on ... when Corexit trials and Inipol EAP 22 trials were ongoing ... check for autoimmune hemolytic anemia, even if the blood info appears to look OK.  Some of these things

ALSO, collect all blood tests & urinalysis tests

(Blood in urine; later on abnormal peripheral blood work are also clues)

What is normal for you? Men's chart ... Women's chart

& other blood info, if there

What hormonal levels are too high or too low?  Including blood sugar

Take blood chemistry manually - not by computer
for accurate check on RBC, WBC, Liver counts
There should be some aspect of red blood cells that is not mature,

They must not be living 120 days &/or be unable to fully utilize the hemoglobin that is there.   Size? Shape?  Membranes of red blood cells?  From 'ragged & beat up' early on ... to small-sized to abnormal peripheral blood function?  to Spikes on the red blood cells?

I believe that early on there would be the fatigue - maybe not the very first thing.

I found one woman who has lots of energy but does not sleep at all.

So, maybe she will feel the fatigue in four months?

Spikes on RBCs, says Sandy*

Small Red Blood Cells?

Whatever you do - don't get any more exposure to 2-butoxyethanol

I think I've stumbled onto the fatigue of CFIDS

    • And when do you recall any flu-like symptoms?

    • How frequently?

    • What were you doing then?

    • or who was new in the family/work setting at that time?

    • How many of these symptoms, When & how often? *

    • What job did you do on the Exxon Valdez oil spill cleanup?

    Worker Survey *
