new recordings

  • ‘Fran Schoppler – 123456789 songs’ – recorded 2 April 2000, Carlton Studios, Glasgow. Nine song demo, recorded with a few overdubs and mixed - all in 12 and a half hours. Guest performance from Mick Cooke on trumpet and flugel horn.
  • ‘Fran Schoppler – 4 songs’ – four song sample demo of songs recorded as part of the April 2000 recording session.

  • 'Shoot The Refugees’, (1990) - directed by Kevin Cameron. Performed vocals for a short song contained within the film.
  • 'Currency For The Superstitious', (1995) - directed by Gillian Steel. Credit for soundtrack.
  • 'The Fishmonger Scales and Other Red Herrings’, (1997) - directed by Kevin Cameron. Credits for soundtrack and a short personal appearance.
  • 'Too Late To Play Daddy’, (1999) - documentary about teenage fathers directed by Kevin Cameron. Credit for soundtrack, which included a cover version of 'Children of The Revolution' by T-Rex.
  • ‘Summer Lovin’, (2000) - directed by Heather Middleton. Short film for student film course. Re-working of song ‘Summer Lovin’, from ‘Grease’ used as soundtrack.
  • 'Artery' arts programme for STV - 'Unlikely Murals, Mostly' (2001) - directed by Kevin Cameron.  First aired Sunday 29 July 2001. Alasdair Gray re-visits and re-paints murals he originally painted in the 1950s, 60s and 70s.  Credit for soundtrack. BAFTA Scotland nominated in the documentary category.
