Decendant of the original Quartermaine butler, Jennings, Reginald Jennings is the long-suffering butler for the Quartermaine family. Since he's the only member of the service staff who's had the tenacity to withstand the Quartermaine's antics, Reginald has virtually become a member of the family. He speaks his mind freely and lets it be openly known that he has little respect for Edward, the Quartermaine patriarch.
Reginald has proven his dedication to the Quartermaine family countless times. In 1994, Reginald actually poisoned Katherine Bell, who had blackmailed her way into the family and proceeded to make everyone’s lives a living hell. In 1999, Reginald locked Luke Spencer and Felicia Scorpio-Jones in a crypt when they came close to uncovering a secret about Lila and her dead fiancé from ages ago.
In spite of his tendency to "forget" that he works for the Quartermaines, he is much beloved, so the family often gives him time off to court Leticia, the Corinthos family nanny.
When Reginald was knocked out of commission, Edward began interviewing for temporary replacements. No one seemed to fit the bill until an old English gentleman named Dobson arrived. Dobson was hired, and none of the Quartermaines realized that Dobson was no gentleman... Dobson was Alexis! Not satisfied with her visitation rights, Alexis donned the Dobson disguise in order to be closer to her child. She certainly didn't like seeing Skye becoming so close with the child, or so close with Ned!
Before long, the burly Quartermaine maid, Big Alice, was quite taken with Dobson! Big Alice made her attraction known, and was determined to get the man she so desperately wanted!
Lila quietly passed away in her sleep on the evening of Tuesday, July 13th, 2004, and Reginald was as grief-stricken over her passing as any of the Quartermaines were. The Quartermaines decided to send Reginald on a cruise as he dealt with the loss of a great woman he held so dear to his heart.
