My Name is J.N. of the Bronx and I will proudly bring my new leadership skills and other communications skills to my troop.  This experience at NYLT and the Camping experience at Keowa has inspired me to become a better person.  I can sum up my experience with the symbolism of a fire.  When there is a bon fire, all enthusiasm and skills are at its optimal height.  The fire represents the inspiration at the NYLT staff has given me. So from the role models that the staff portrayed, I am motivated to transfer all that I have learned and experienced to all members of my Troop.  We will know the difference between Troop material and NYLT material.  Thus my troop will now have better enthusiasm, more presentations, skits, songs chants and of course leadership members of the 2008 participants of NYLT.  This course intrigued me and shaped my personality to become a more active one.  Not only have I learned leadership but I have also learned teamwork, unity, friendship, family and diversity.  Therefore, because of this exhilerating and active experience I will be a person who will make a difference in the lives of others, even by using all the acronyms that I have learned.  Be, Know, Do.

Our Youth Training Staff and Adult Advisors will not dissapoint you.  We have been working for more than a year to provide you with an exceptional leadership training experience.

 

We have provided the highest quality leadership training to hundreds of scouts in recent years. They have gone on to lead their home Scout Units, OA Chapters and Lodges, National Jamboree Units, have been selected as Scout Speakers and Camp Staff Members by the Greater N.Y. Councils or their home Councils.  Several reported back that NYLT helped them in School or College and helped them achieve  goals needed to become Eagle Scouts and get jobs.
