Dreams do come true!

The late Howard Ketcheson, Gail Anderson's beloved father, died tragically in a farm accident on September 7, 2006 at Cedar Grove Gelbvieh!

In the late sixties Gail's father had a dream of moving from Ontario to Alberta and farming in the Peace Country. After Dad's retirement from Northern Telecom he came to High Prairie, Alberta for several years during calving season to help us calve out Bar GR Gelbvieh's herd of cattle.

In 1992 Dad purchased RHK Miss Alta Seba 1X from Bar GR Gelbvieh and established Cedar Grove Gelbvieh in Foxboro, Ontario. In Dad's first year as a purebred Gelbvieh breeder his cow RHK 1X, affectionately known as 'MOM', gave birth to twin heifers Bar GR Cherokee 2C and Bar GR Cheyenne 1C! In 1995 Dad drew embryos from 'MOM' and several ET calves were born at Cedar Grove Gelbvieh in 1996! Bar GR Gelbvieh purchased the dark red son of KCF Bennett Horizon,  YCR Little Red Horizon B7F , as a herd sire for our purebred herd in High Prairie, Alberta. The ET calf (newly born in 1996) in the photo to the left below is the grand sire of the 2005 Canadian National Grand Champion Female in the photo to the right! Being instrumental in the production of a National Champion was not part of Dad's dream but he was humbly priveleged to play a part in TIP-GR No Nonsence 304N's honour!
