We are extremely happy with Impressor's daughters. They are producing some outstanding calves.
Bar GR Eden produces some of the best low birthweight bull calves we offer. We are excited because in 2004 she finally produced a Zues Black Eagle heifer calf, Bar GR Obsession 68P!
Bar GR Debra 101D's 2004 bull calf, Bar GR Payload 101P, sired by Zues Black Eagle was leading the Cattleland Feedyards 2004 Net Feed Efficiency test after 28 days with a 4.16 lb. Average Daily Gain. It isn't often that Debra produces sons, but when she does her boys are powerhouses like the YCR Little Red Horizon son in the photo above, so we are truly excited! Bar GR Debra 101D is now in the donor pen for 2005.
Bar GR 303E produced the high selling bred female at the Eastern Canadian Gelbvieh Association Sale in 2000 and her Bar GR Desperado son Bar GR Mr. Wow 118L was the high selling Gelbvieh bull at the High Prairie Select Bull Sale in 2003. He sold to Danny Penny in High Level, Alberta. Local commercial cattleman, Frank Zuchotsky purchased 303E's 2002 JEB I'm a Sensation son, Bar GR Mercedes 118M, at the same sale.
Bar GR 124F's Desperado son was the high selling exotic bull in the High Prairie Select Bull Sale in April 2000 and her Bar GR Legacy daughter from 2002 is now raising an excellent GLG Impressor heifer! In October 2000 Sunrise Stock Farm in Peace River, Alberta purchased Bar GR Katrine 124K out of Bar GR 124F at the Peace Country Gelbvieh Sale. Look for Bar GR 124F's 2003 Zues Black Eagle son, Bar GR Northern Eagle 124N, at shows this summer and fall. In 2004 Bar GR 124F has an absolutely stunning Fearless heifer calf at side, Bar GR Fearless Flirt 124F, who sold in the Canadian National Gelbvieh Sale to Hurlburt Livestock in Saskatchewan won the Gelbvieh class in the all-breed heifer jackpot 'Legend of the Fall' at Farmfair, Edmonton and placed first in her class at the Saskatoon Fall Fair in 2004! Bar GR 124F may appear to be plain but there is no doubt that she produces some great ones here at Bar GR and she too is now in the donor pen for 2005!
Bar GR Sylvia has several daughters in our herd. Her 2003 Zues Black Eagle son posted the highest 205-day adjusted weaning weight of 848 lbs.
Bar GR Evita 307E has a 2004 Bronco bull calf at side, Bar GR Bronco Bandito 144P, who is exhibiting tremendous length, depth and width across the top. He was our Bull Futurity entry at Farmfair in the Canadian National Show in November. Evita's 2002 bull calf, Bar GR Maverick 144M, just sold as a two-year old to Aaron Ford in Nampa, Alberta.
Bar GR Gudrun 170G is with her heifer calf - Bar GR Kamila 170K - who sold in October 2000 to Altanna Stock Farm, High Prairie, Alberta at the Peace Country Gelvieh Sale.
Bar GR Elle 117E is with her yearling heifer - Bar GR Kaitlyn 117K - who also sold in October 2000 to Sunrise Stock Farms in Peace River in the Peace Country Gelbvieh Sale. The ultra feminine Goldrush daughter Bar GR Elle's Pride 177L went to the 2001 Man-Sask 3rd "Fall Classic" Sale in Yorkton, Saskatchewan and sold to Goodbrand Gelbvieh in Saskatchewan.
