Thackeray Gelbvieh Farms, is situated close to the Montana border in Saskatchewan. Ian Past President of the Canadian Gelbvieh Association Board of Directors! Ian is also involved in the Prairie Gelbvieh Alliance Female Sale (December) and Prairie Gelbvieh Alliance Bull Sale (April) in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. The most exciting thing that happened in 2005 at TGF was the addition of a beautiful baby girl, Katelyn, to their family in February. Her three little brothers think she is cute.....'a new word in the boys' vocabulary' says proud father Ian!
Thackeray Gelbvieh had an another successful show and sale season in 2005! In August of 2005 No Nonsence with her RHRT Independence sired heifer calf, Sweet Liberty, won Grand Champion Gelbvieh Female at the Prince Albert Livestock Show! Sweet Liberty was also crowned heifer calf champion at the same show. The grand finale was winning the Canadian National Gelbvieh Grand Champion Female with TIP No Nonsence 304N and Sweet Liberty at side shown below! Both of these shows made her eligible to represent the Gelbvieh breed in the John Deere Parade of Champions and the RBC Royal Bank Beef Supreme Challenge The gold JCGR Bar GT Dimension 7K Grand Champion Female, out of Bar GR Liane 126L, has the exclusive AI sire, RHRT Independence L19's, daughter at side! In 2004, after No Nonsence won the Sweetheart Classic she sold for a record breaking $10 500.00 at the Canadian National Sale to a progressive group of breeders who call themselves the Sweetheart Classic Syndicate.

Group Photo - 2006 | At the 2006 Canadian National Junior Gelbvieh Show and Conference, one of the youngest competitors, Dylan Thackeray, showed the Champion Bull Calf (TIP 8S) and the Reserve Yearling Heifer (TIP 9R).
