I get a lot of emails back and forth from Cady Falls Puppy owners but this one I needed to share when you read it you will know why!
Hi Heather,
Aidan does look a lot like Esser's Duke vd Wildburg and yes Kissame has a
really nice pedigree! Lots to be proud of in her pedigree and she proforms as expected like her pedigree shows. Kissame is my thinker!!! she is no dummy she knows what she can get away with and what she can not. She has Heart and desire more than any dog I have owned before and most I have competed against. For Kissame there is no going around the picker bush if the bird is in it just like one year during the childrens pheasant hunt a pheasant was shot and landed in a tree limb heavy with the orange vine that grows along the edges they all said Oh she wont be able to get that one..thats will be one lost bird. I let her go went over to the limb scoped it out dived into the thick stuff then you could see her climbing the tree limb wiggled and moving like crazy then the branch stopped moving ( Out came Kissame with the bird in her mouth ) She was bleeding all over from the briars. Nathan has seen that same proud look on Gracie when she did the tracking and came out from the treed area with the big duck in her mouth prancing tail up high.
Im expecting Great things from the Pair..(Nathan & Aidan) You will hear me say ( If your going to Dream DREAM BIG ).

Hey Cathy,
I agree about Kissamee's drive. She is pretty amazing. You can just tell when you let her outside she has one thing, and one thing only on her mind - hunting. I love your story about Kissamee climbing the tree to get the pheasant. I know what you mean about her being willing to dive into any pricker bush to get the bird. Now I know where Aidan gets that from. We have some barb wire fences here and there in the woods up here from old pasture land. I try to keep Aidan away from them when I know they're there, but I don't always see them first. I've seen him dive straight through the strands when they weren't more than a foot apart since all he's thinking of is finding that bird wherever it might be. I think in some ways I've been spoiled with Aidan. I hear people talk a bird dog that just isn't birdy, or get bored if he doesn't get into lots of birds right away, or won't go into the thick stuff to get the bird. No problems with Aidan on any of those areas. He's an amazing dog. At the RGS dinner too, there was a man there who had a shorthair from a kennel in Maine and he was saying how his dog blows him off and runs away from him for 20-30 minutes at a time when they're hunting. He thought this was just a "shorthair thing." Not Aidan. He comes straight away when I whistle for him and the few times that I've been poking around or (God forbid) sat down on a tree stump for a while he either comes right up to me and starts jumping and kissing my face (let's go! let's go! There are birds out there!) or he comes back and stops and looks at me quizzically until I say "good boy!" and start walking again.
I wanted to tell you too, I love the hunt tests and they've been one of those most enjoyable experiences of my life - and I want to thank you for introducing me to them. You help motivate me to get Aidan trained and out there competing, showing everyone what fine pups Cady Falls produces. And I want to thank you for that too. You're a wonderful friend.
Looking forward to seeing you this weekend!!
Nathan
