Here is a letter of recommdation from last years puppy owners.
Hi Cathy Thursday, November 4, 2004 9:47 PM
Fritz was 57 pounds the last time we took him to the vet about a month ago and is about 29" around his chest and about 25" high from shoulder to ground (he doesn't like the tape measure so will not stand still). Sometime this weekend we will have to take photos and then will send them to you.
Fritz does not have problems with separation anxiety although he prefers to be with us. He is intelligent, energetic, good natured, sneaky, a good hunter, and strong willed. Fritz has done better than Spencer's expectations on woodcock & he is coming along nicely on grouse. We crate him in the car and when we leave him home alone for more than a short time. At night he sleeps in the basement family room by himself and stays out of trouble. However, given the opportunity he may get into wastepaper baskets, food, etc., whether we are home or not. He has learned that he can open the doors by hitting at the knobs. He "speaks" to go out or come in, but rarely barks other than those times. He likes people and is good with children and other dogs. He is a high energy dog and needs space to run, play, hunt, etc. He is well mannered in the house and stays off the furniture as long as he has a comfortable bed of his own. He is not allowed in certain areas of our house and he is good about not teasing and content to stay out of those spaces.
I can see that the extensive amount of time Spencer spent with Fritz is now paying off with Fritz's desire to please. Praise and affection with small doses of disappointment go a long way getting Fritz do met our expectations.
We are pleased with him. Fritz is a good young hunting dog and a nice pet as well.
Sincerely,
Mary Jane Potter
CADY FALLS FRITZ WENT TO HIS NEW HOME 1/1/04 FEELING AT HOME ALREADY
Cady Falls Fritz and his visit home at the age of 1 year old.
CONGRADULATIONS TO MARY-JANE & SPENCER ON THERE NEW ADDITION.
Update...
Fritz is nosing around every corner he can and is establishing his independence. He does his business outside quickly and we get him there in a timely fashion most of the time. He doesn't like this very cold weather. Spencer has been working on come, sit and walking with a slack leash. He retrieves his chew toys to us a lot. He brings his chew toys into his create and sleeps there nicely during the day. He likes riding in the car. Fritz still crys/whines some during the night but it is slowly getting quieter each night.
We are enjoying him!

Hi:
Fritz had his first real hunt yesterday. He had multiple hard points on both grouse and woodcock. He broke point on the shot and I will have to work on this. He found all of the dead birds. Fritz points scents after birds have left. I think this will fix itself with more experience. Both of us slept well last night.
Thanks
Spencer
Here is Eric's Puppy he calls Charle in his new how with his other friends.
Hi Cathy,
He is getting big, but still small enough to scoop right up and cuddle with!! He is still a natural born hunter!

Cady Falls Tuxcedo Sam of Camelot in his new home an very happy indeed.
Cathy,
A note to let you know I haven't forgotten about the pics and the measurements....seems every time I try to do it I am alone....and Mr. Tye isn't so great at standing still...he is a little monster. hahahah He is doing well though and is as beautiful a GSP as I have ever seen yet! I will get those pics and measures to you some time soon. I did give an excellent reference to a fella via e-mail about a month ago now. Hope he got one of your great dogs!
