2) Please try to stick to the topics of the room, which are ghosts/spirits and the experiences you've had with them, along with anything else paranormal related. This is NOT the place for psychic readings or impressions, neither giving nor receiving them. There are many places available if you seek to have one done, but that is not the purpose of this room.

3) Remember to be polite and courteous to people in the room, bad manners are NOT allowed and rudeness will DEFINITELY not be tolerated! A feature of the room is the "story curtain", which gives the person sharing the experience the floor and allows them to speak without interruption. Questions are normally held until after the person is done so that there is less confusion. Normally when someone enters a room during this time, they are told that a story is in progress. Please do not interrupt the person during this time, as it is considered rude.

4) Age, sex, location (asl) doesn't apply here. Due to the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act[COPPA], the minimum age required to register is 13. Everybody meeting these requirements is accepted, however immaturity ISN'T! If you can't handle behaving in this room, whether you're 15 or 55, you don't belong here.

5) To help keep the chat room free from troublemakers and to get to know your fellow chatters, a profile is required for this room. This is a simple procedure that helps us protect the room from jerks, hackers, porn bots and spammers. Specific information is not required! As long as you fill in a minimum of four things (it can even be a role-playing profile), you will be allowed to participate in the room. Once you log into the chat room you can create, add and change your profile. Just click the "profile" button at the bottom of the chat room screen once you're in to modify, and make sure to save when you're done.

6) Profanity is not tolerated in this room, if you want to have a potty mouth take it elsewhere.

7) Please do not post links in a typical fashion. For example, instead of "http://www.ghosts.com", please type only "ghosts.com" so that it does not appear as a hyperlink in the room. The reason we say this is for your protection. We have people come in here and "spam" links, but sometimes these links will take you to places that MAY contain viruses OR may steal your password, as well as redirect you to porn or hacker sites. Please note that spamming or soliciting (for personal websites, email addresses, or "buddies" on messenger services)is not allowed!

8) Please do NOT publicly post your email address in the chat room. You never know who could be watching and may attempt to send you a virus...or worse. Also, it is a possibility that you may receive spam as a result of posting your email address publicly, so to keep everyone safe we ask that you do not post it in the main chat area. Also, as above, do not ask or solicit for email addresses .

9) Please do not debate or preach in this room. We accept ALL beliefs as long as it is not forced upon others, but is NOT a religious discussion room. The purpose is to share true paranormal experiences or receive answers and opinions to the questions you seek, not belittle or trample on personal thoughts and ideas. We also are not here to prove anything to anyone, so if you are wishing to find "proof" of the afterlife or the spirit world, unfortunately we will not be able to help you. We are also not here to provide stories, data (such as ghost pictures, haunted locations, EVPs or internet websites) or information for research purposes, books, movies, documentaries, etc. This is a safe haven where our members do not want to be viewed as guinea pigs or cash cows and have their experiences exploited and used for such purposes.

10) Sexual remarks, flirting, sexual innuendos and/or harrassment will NOT be tolerated. This is a ghost chat room where ALL ages frequent, please control yourself and act in a decent manner while here. If need be, take it to whispers, but PLEASE do not act this way in the room!

11) Room participation is required. What is meant by that is please do not sit in the chat room and "lurk", as that is not only considered bad manners, but if you're not in here to talk, people wonder what you ARE in here to do. We protect this chat room from perverts, pedophiles, spammers, hackers, solicitors, harrassers, stalkers, and the like, so please chirp up every so often to at least let the people sharing a story know you appreciate it. Enforcing this rule not only protects US as providers of the chat room, but YOU the chatter as well.
