The great test of every christian is not preaching what he's learned but living what he preaches.
John 15:5-8
"I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in
him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. If you abide
in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it
shall be done for you. By this My Father is glorified, that you bear
much fruit; so you will be My disciples."
Romans 12:1,2
"I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that you
present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to God, which
is your reasonable service. And do not be conformed to this world, but
be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what
is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God."
(Josh 1:7-9 KJV)
Only be thou strong and very courageous, that thou
mayest observe to do according to all the law, which Moses my servant
commanded thee: turn not from it to the right hand or to the left,
that thou mayest prosper whithersoever thou goest. This book of the
law shall not depart out of thy mouth; but thou shalt meditate therein
day and night, that thou mayest observe to do according to all that is
written therein: for then thou shalt make thy way prosperous, and then
thou shalt have good success. Have not I commanded thee? Be strong and
of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed: for the
LORD thy God is with thee whithersoever thou goest.
Ephesians 2:8-10.
"For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of
yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should
boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good
works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."
Colossians 3:1-3
"If then you were raised with Christ, seek those things which are
above, where Christ is, sitting at the right hand of God. Set your
mind on things above, not on things on the earth. For you died, and
your life is hidden with Christ in God."
Galatians 2:20,21
"I have been crucified with Christ; it is no longer I who live, but
Christ lives in me; and the life which I now live in the flesh I live
by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me. I do
not set aside the grace of God; for if righteousness comes through the
law, then Christ died in vain."
John 8:31-32,36
"Then Jesus said to those Jews who believed Him, 'If you abide in My
word, you are My disciples indeed. And you shall know the truth, and
the truth shall make you free . . .
Therefore if the Son makes you free, you shall be free indeed.'"
John 10:27
"My sheep hear my voice, and I know them and they follow me."
Psalm 40:8
"I delight to do thy will, O my God; yea,
thy law is within my heart."
Deut. 1:17
"Ye shall not respect persons in judgment,
but ye shall hear the small as well as the great;
ye shall not be afraid of the face of man,
for the judgment is God's;
and the cause that is too hard for you,
bring it unto me [Moses], and I will hear it."
Prov. 29:25 "The fear of man bringeth a snare; but whoso putteth his trust
in the Lord shall be safe."
I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for My own sake;
and I will not remember your sins.
--Isaiah 43:25
"Finally, all of you, live in harmony with one another; be
sympathetic, love as brothers, be compassionate and humble. Do not
repay evil with evil or insult with insult, but with blessing,
because to this you were called so that you may inherit a blessing."
(1 Peter 3:8-9, NIV).
1 Thess. 5:16-18 tells us, "16. Rejoice always, 17. pray without ceasing, 18. in everything give thanks; for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus for you."
The fear of the Lord is to know God as a just God.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The reverent, worshipful fear of the Lord leads to life, and he who has it rests satisfied; he cannot be visited with [actual] evil. Proverbs 19:23
Psalm 139:1-12 (NRSV)
O LORD, you have searched me and known me.
You know when I sit down and when I rise up; you discern my thoughts from far away.
You search out my path and my lying down, and are acquainted with all my ways.
Even before a word is on my tongue, O LORD, you know it completely.
You hem me in, behind and before, and lay your hand upon me.
Such knowledge is too wonderful for me; it is so high that I cannot attain it.
Where can I go from your spirit? Or where can I flee from your presence?
If I ascend to heaven, you are there; if I make my bed in Sheol, you are there.
If I take the wings of the morning and settle at the farthest limits of the sea,
even there your hand shall lead me, and your right hand shall hold me fast.
If I say, "Surely the darkness shall cover me, and the light around me become night,"
even the darkness is not dark to you; the night is as bright as the day, for darkness is as light to you.
