Chill out - you're not the only virgin in your year, I can guarantee it! Yes, people are having sex a lot younger these days, but it's a fact that there are still loads of 15, 16 and 17 year old virgins - and the age doesn't just stop there! But they might lie about it, 'cuz just like you they feel left out. So do what you want, and not what your friends want you to do - it's your life! You make the choices...
Boys and girls
Someone has said to you ' If you loved me, you'd do it...'Your boy/girlfriend has told you that they've slept with all of their exes... They always go further than they promise when you kiss... You think they'll love you more if you do... You're afraid you'll get dumped if you say no...
Once again, you're under pressure...
It's confusing - whenever you're both alone together, they seem to have a problem controlling their hands, and they keep saying ' If you loved me you'd do it...' This is emotional blackmail, and it's aload of B******!!
Everytime those hands wander somewhere where you don't want them to, shift them firmly back. If they don't quit, then stop whatever you're doing until they get the hint. If that still doesn't work, then threaten the relationship - you deserve much better than this, and if it's clear that they don't care about you, carry through your threat and leave. Sex without respect is horrible and degrading...
Hormones
You're really curious to find out what all the fuss is about...You feel grown up, so it's time you acted like one... Sometimes when you're kissing, you lose control... You find yourself fantasising a lot... You're bored with simply fooling around...
Hormone pressure calls!
When puberty hits, our hormones go wacko and our interest in sex increases - this makes it really tempting.
However, puberty doesn't indicate you're ready for sex... It's an emotional experience, so you need to be 100% ready. Simply feeling horny doesn't cut it - and you'll risk being let down if you rush into things.
Take your time, it's not a race!...
Love
You've been with the same girl/guy for a long time... Your relationship is open, honest and trusting... You trust them not to tell their mates what you're up to... You've discussed everything and have agreed to wait until you're ready... Whatever happens, you'll never regret having sex with them...

It's the happiest feeling in the world - It's the only good reason to consider having sex, because you obviously feel emotionally secure.
It still doesn't mean you have to go out and do it though!
You should consider this checklist, to see how ready you really are...
Do you know how to avoid pregnancy?Do you know how to avoid STI's? ( More importantly, do you know what one is!? ) Are you 16 or older? Have you talked it through with your partner? Do you know exactly what to expect?
If you answered no to any of those Q's, we think you should reconsider whether you're ready or not...
