When Glastron came out of bancruptcy?? or genmar came into the picture in 1988/9 they asked Mr. Carlson to design a flagship/show boat once again for the Glastron Dealers...He and his son took the very average looking walk thru Glastron 19 foot run about designed for a 125 outboard and put a different top on it/paint scheme and put in a V8. The motor was so heavy they had to move the motor up by 8-10 inces with a extra drive shaft. Thus, the small inside space between the bench seat and captains chairs. Well anyway the story goes that at the Dealer get together on Lake Austin in the summer of 1989 during the fireworks show and after the Dealers had scene "ALL" the "new" models this boat came flying out of the dark by the dock running about 60 mph with a 23 pitch prop...Needless to say this thing was a little ahead of its time in styling...

Thanks Larry for the Story!
